Jennie POV

It's my first day in the office after resting for a month. Lisa still not happy with my decision going back to work. She's afraid I'll over work myself and neglecting the baby again. Even though she gave in but she gave me one condition, that she will work in the same floor as me. She said it will be easier to taking care of me.

Since she find out about my pregnancy. She became overly protective. She even tell the security to banned V from visiting me and block his number on my phone. Jealousy at its peak.

Now she move in with me to the mansion. I don't know what is our equation, but her presence help me to calm the baby in unexpected situation. I think the baby loves their Dada more than me.

"Jen.. Jen" Irene flick her fingers on my face, which snapping me back to my sense.

"Oh sorry"

"You were spacing out. Something bothering you?"

"No. Everything is fine"

"Is the baby giving you hard time?"

I told Irene about my situation, she shocked at first but happy for me anyway.

"I'm getting used to it now. Lisa help me to ease the baby" I smiled at her.

"So what's the score between you two? Did you accept her already?"

I sigh deeply.

"I don't know Ren. I'm just happy that she's with me for now. Or maybe she's just doing it for the baby" I shrugged.

"Don't be silly. She loves you. There's a baby or not. She will always be there for you. I can tell"

"Maybe we will co-parenting" I said while writing on my note.

"What? Are you serious? Are you still that afraid of commitment? Get over it Jen. She had been very devoted to you!"

"Devoted my ass. She was ready to leave me that night. If she didn't find out about my pregnancy. She probably already in another part of the world by now"

"But she stayed anyway right?" Irene said cutting me mid sentence.

I look away from her trying to hold my tears.

*knock knock*

I saw Lisa coming in with glass of water and a pack of my medicine.

"Your medicine time. I need my baby to be healthy" She said approaching me.

"How sweet" Irene said which I glare at her.

"Lisa, if she still rejecting you, I'm ready to accept you"

I chocked on my water and throw a pen to her.

"Easy easy" Lisa said caressing my back.

"And Seulgi will kill you" I said.

"Nope. We already parted away 2 months ago. For our own good. Our relationship was too hard to keep. And it's exhausting for me to keep fighting with her. This is the best for both of us" She said shrugging.

Lisa and I look at each other.

"I'm sorry" Lisa said.

"Don't be. I'm happier now" She smile.

"See! I told you! Life is way more easier when you don't have any relationship. No attachment. No drama. No unnecessary fight, only focus on your goal" I said to Irene, tapping my hand on the desk.

"Ya! Jennie Kim! You are very much attached to me. You are carrying my baby!" Lisa raised her voice.

"Yes exactly! We fight almost everyday ever since I'm carrying your baby. It's always one argument to another and I'm sick of it!" I raised my voice back at her.
