You sat on your bed in your jeans and large hoodie, scrolling through your phone when a text popped up on the screen.

Lina: you're not seriously going through with this are you? Please think about what could happen if you get caught :(

You sighed, then began to text her back.

You: I'm fine girl. I've snuck out so many times this ain't my first rodeo don't worry xx

Lina: :(((

You: I promise I'll be fine.

Lina: :( ok. Please stay safe.

You: Never ;)

Lina: !?!

You laughed, then saw the time at the top of your screen and saw it was 9pm. Time to get going.

You put your phone on vibrate then shoved it into your back pocket and got up, pulled up your hood, and slowly opened your door then peered down the dark hallway. It was eerily quiet. Almost peaceful.

Being as quiet as you possibly could, you softly closed your door and began to walk down the hall, then down the stairs, and then opened the door to the dorm building and stepped outside. The air was cool and slightly breezy, the night sky pitch black and starless with grey and navy blue clouds swirling around on the horizon.

Campus security was patrolling around as they do every night, and you could see a man with a flashlight pacing around, currently by the main building. You looked around, then walked behind the dorm building to sneak around to the entrance the other way in order to not be detected.

You walked along the building, then ran over to the main building, walked around the back of that, then peeked around the corner. Your eyes fell upon three shadowy figures. The two boys from art class and then... a girl? You didn't know there would be someone else there but you were open to meeting someone new. Especially if they were cool enough to be sneaking out.

You stooped down the ground and picked up a piece of gravel then threw it in their direction, causing it to hit the gate and clang loudly making them all jump and look around with scared little faces. As they looked at the gate to try and find what it was that hit it, you snuck up stealthily, then tapped the redhead on the shoulder making him squeal and spin around which caused you to laugh.

"Oh my god you guys are so tense." You said, removing your hood. "I didn't know she was coming." You said, gesturing to the girl. Now you were closer, you recognised who it was. Juniper Bloom, the girl that was asking Mr. Fischbach for private tutoring yesterday. You already decided you couldn't stand her, but it was too late to back out now.

"Oh yeah this is Juniper." The emo said as the redhead still had his hand on his heart, trying to calm himself from the spook.

"We've met." Juniper said, as she looked you up and down judgementally. "Briefly." She added.

"And what are your guys names?" You asked, shoving your hands in your hoodie pocket, deciding to just ignore the girl with the stinking attitude.

"I'm Daniel, this is Jacob." The emo- Daniel- said, slapping Ginger Jacob on the back. "He's kinda a weenie."

You nodded slowly, looking over the three of them. "So what's the plan? Just run around the streets? Find a bar? What're we thinking?"

"We were gonna go to the park." Juniper said, folding her arms. "Is that 'cool' enough for you?" Her tone was bratty and challenging.

You furrowed your brow, unsure why she seemed so confrontative. "Sure..." you said slightly confused.

She smiled and tossed her hair over her shoulder. You thought about how her dye job was patchy and too orange and her hair was dry and damaged from over bleaching. You smirked to yourself, observing it then looked away.

"I know the code for the gate. I heard Principal Hargrove tell it to the librarian." She said smugly as she unfolded her arms and walked over to the gate. Then paused. "Oh."

"Oh, what?" Daniel asked, stepping forward. "Oh." He said. "Juniper you stupid idiot."

"What is it?" Jacob asked.

"There are two locks..." Juniper said, cheeks flushing red with embarrassment. "One is the code and the other needs a key..."

"Oh this is rich." You laughed. "Have you never done this before?"

"Well okay miss rebellion it's not my fault I wasn't brought up in a trailer park and just know how to do this kind of thing!" She said, turning on her heel and jabbing her finger at you, suddenly very angry. "Shut up unless you want to say something helpful."

You widened your eyes at her, taken aback by her sudden anger. "Woah okay jeez. Did all that box dye seep into your brain or something? Why so mad?"

"At least I have a brain and wasn't raised like a wild animal with all the lowlifes at public school." She spat.

You opened your mouth to retort before Daniel stepped in. "Ladies, ladies. Just chill. We can smoke on the field or something it's no biggie."

"Yeah!" Jacob chimed in.

You rolled your eyes. "You guys give up way too easily." You walked over to the gate and began to hoist yourself up. You climbed it with relative ease despite how tall it was and were soon over the top and dropped down onto the floor the other side. Daniel, Jacob and Juniper simply stared at you as you waved at them. "You coming?"

Daniel shrugged then stepped forward, ready to climb over when suddenly, a booming voice came shouting from not too far away.

"HEY! What do you think you're doing?!" It was campus security. Your stomach dropped and you froze as the security guard came running over with his flashlight. The three on the other side scrambled for a moment before Jacob and Juniper ran away and Daniel turned to look at you.

"Sorry!" He said then followed the others, running as fast as he could.

You put your hand on the bars. "Wait! Don't leave me!" They continued running and the security guard was fast approaching. You looked around but there was nowhere to go. "You fuckers!" You yelled at the three, now obscured by the shadows of the building.

The security guard approached the gate and shone his flashlight at your face making you squint as you held onto the bars.

"You are in serious trouble young lady."

I moved back to uni yesterday so updates may slow down as I won't be able to write as much. I'll update the description or say in an authors note if I decide to move from daily updates to weekly or something. Let me know in the comments how you're enjoying this so far!
