LATER THAT NIGHT, AURABELLA WAS LYING on Stefan's bed as she read one of her favourite books. While Stefan was changing his shirt, Zach stormed in.

"You promised." Zach spoke, walking over to the vampires with a newspaper.

Stefan took it out of his hands and looked at the front page. Aurabella got to a kneeling position and looked over her Uncle's shoulder to see that two people had been attacked, "This was an animal attack."

"Don't give me that. I know the game." Zach said, shaking his head at Stefan handed the newspaper back to him, "You tear them up enough, they suspect an animal attack. You said you both had it under control.

"And we do." Stefan said sternly, turning away from Zach.

"Please, Uncle Stefan, Aurabella, Mystic Falls is a different place now." Zach spoke softly, "It's been quiet for years now but there are people who still remember. And you being here... it's just going to stir things up."

"That's not our intention." Aurabella shook her head softly, picking up her book again.

"Then what is? Why did you both come back after all this time? Why now?" Zach raised his voice.

"We don't have to explain ourselves, Zach." Aurabella said sternly while standing up and walking closer to the human.

"I know, that neither of you can change what you are. But you don't belong here anymore." Zach said softly.

"Where do we belong?" Stefan asked, pulling his niece back slightly.

"I can't tell either of you what to do. But coming back here was a mistake." Zach walked backwards, slamming the newspaper on one of the tables and walking out.

Stefan turned to his niece who was walking over to one of his cabinets, he sighed, "Aura, be honest, did you do this?"

"What? No. Look, I might be a little out of control sometimes but I would never kill random people." Aurabella chuckled.

Stefan nodded, "Okay."

Stefan walked over to the cabinet, opening it and pulling out a brown book. He opened it to reveal a picture of Katherine, making Aurabella smile, "She was beautiful."

"Yeah, she was." Stefan sighed, "Elena looks like a spitting image."

"She does." Aurabella nodded, "Just not as cold."

Stefan chuckled, "Yeah."

"I'm, uh, gonna wander town for a little bit. See the sights." Aurabella smiled, walking backwards to the door.

Stefan nodded before Aurabella walked out. She ran downstairs and grabbed her leather jacket before walking out the house.

She wandered around town for a couple of minutes before seeing a teenager, a girl, just wandering. Aurabella walked over to her portraying a sad look, "Hi, I'm lost, could you show me the way to town centre, please?"

"Oh, sure." The girl smiled. Aurabella smiled as well, her plan was working.

"Do you know where I could get a drink? I'm so thirsty." Aurabella smirked. The girl nodded slightly but Aurabella stopped her walking, her pupils dilating, "Stay still and don't scream or make a sound. Understand?"

The girl nodded making Aurabella smirk, "Good." Aurabella moved behind the girl and slowly but surely bit into her neck, the blood was intoxicating, so strong and so good.

Aurabella drank for a a couple more seconds before pilling away and wiping the drop that dripped down her chin away. She moved to stand in front of the girl again, "Go home, forget all of this. You were bitten be an animal, you need to get help from family or friends. Go."

The girl grabbed her neck and ran off, she had no idea that she'd met Aurabella or been fed off. All the girl knew was that she was bitten by an animal, not a vampire.
