(Char's POV)
After a while of us just lying next to each other with our hands intertwined a nurse came in.
"Oh hello, I'm just here to check Miss Robert's vitals" She said.
"Okay, no problem, I'll move" I said.
I got up and sat back on the chair by Mia's bed. I smiled at the nurse and let her do what she needed to and then she left again.
"I'll be back in a minute with a doctor" She said.
"Okay, thank you" I replied.
She returned with a doctor and Mia was given the all clear to return home, under strict instruction to rest and not have alcohol for a few days. The doctor gave her some pain medication and then told us we could leave when we were ready.
"It's a good job I went and got my car" I said.
Mia smiled at me and sat up.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Yes, let's go home" She replied.
I helped her up and we walked out to the waiting room.
Marjorie and Reece came over to us.
"She's been given the all clear, we're off home" I told them.
"Alright, my love, you let us know if there's anything we can do for you" Marjorie said.
"You've done more than enough, Marjorie. Thank you. I will forever be in your debt" Mia told her.
The pair smiled at each other and then we made our way out to the car park. We each got in our respective cars and drove home.
Once we were home I took Mia upstairs and set her up in bed, I went downstairs and grabbed some of her favourite drinks and snacks and then returned to the bedroom.
She smiled when I came back in and I placed the treats on the bed. I got into bed with her and pulled her into my arms. As much as she'd never admit it, she was a softie sometimes.
"Do you need anything else?" I asked.
"No thank you, I've got everything that I need right infront of me" She replied.
I smiled and pulled her in closer.
"I love you, Amelia Roberts." I whispered.
"I love you, Charlotte Evans" She whispered back.
She snuggled into me and I turned the TV on.
"What do you want to watch?" I asked.
"The Devil Wears Prada" She said. "It's a classic"
"Okay" I replied.
I turned on the film and we sat and cuddled and ate snacks. Eventually we both passed out and fell asleep in eachother's arms.
I love this woman.
