(Mia's POV)
I woke up the next morning and Char was still asleep, I looked at the time on my phone it was 6am, I needed to go. I carefully moved her off of me and got up off of the bed. I quietly got ready and grabbed some clothes to put in my suitcase, I went downstairs and grabbed a notepad and a pen and wrote Char a note. I quietly went back upstairs and put the note on the bedside table along with a glass of water before leaving again. As I got to the front door I looked back upstairs and a wave of guilt washed over me.
'Should I say goodbye in person?' I thought.
I shook my head and turned back to the door. Goodbye never felt so bad.

(Char's POV)
I woke up enveloped in Mia's scent and smiled, I stretched my body out and then opened my eyes expecting to find her still sleeping on the other side of her bed but my eyes widened when I saw that she was nowhere to be seen. I sat up quickly and saw a note on the bedside table, I picked it up and read it.
Sweetheart, I'm so sorry that I left without saying waking you up this morning but I just hate goodbyes. I've left you a set of keys on the kitchen island for if you want to stay here whilst I'm gone. The fridge and cupboards are stocked. There's another car in the garage that you can use to get to work as well. We can facetime every Friday night and I'll text you as much as I can. I'll be back in around two weeks. I wish it was sooner but unfortunately business calls. I love you, sweetheart, I'll see you soon. xx.
I pick my phone up off the bedside table and text her.
I miss you already, come back faster - C x
Almost immediately I got a reply from her.
Hey, sweetheart, I'll be back as soon as I can, I promise - M x

I smiled and put my phone back on the bedside table and got ready for work, wearing some of Mia's clothes again. Then I went downstairs and picked up the keys from the kitchen island and went into the garage, sitting there was a smoky grey Range Rover. I marvelled at the beautiful car before looking around to find the remote for the garage door, I found it and got into the car. I opened the garage and drove out then closed it again before driving off to work.
