The next morning Fatima and Kolani got up around 6 so they could get all the kids bathed and ready for school with Zay's and aunt V's help of course! They wanted to go into the office early to look over everything again! The kids ended up arriving to school at 7:30 am and Zuri stayed home with Aunt V! They arrived to the office and started combing through all the evidence again and separating it by substantiality and circumstantial evidence! Once everything was separated they sat back and took a breath but received a text about the court hearing for Zac and Dom being at 9 and it was now 8:50! They were pissed and knew who had something to do with it but it was fine because the courthouse was around the corner so they called Robin and had him to meet them there! When they arrived court was about to start and Hayden and Gary had the biggest smiles on their faces, they thought they were 10 steps ahead because surely Fatima and Kolani had no time to go over the case but boy were they wrong!
Judge, "All counselors to my chambers!"
Fatima and Kolani walked in to find Hayden already there!
Judge, "Mr. James it seems you have an issue with providing these counselors with the correct time of this court date! It appears that they were informed 10 minutes before the time, when you knew last night!"
Kolani, "Last night?"
Judge, "Yes! This form of negligence will not be tolerated in my court room! Whatever this is you're going to have to figure it out before you ruin whatever chances you may or may not have had of winning this case! You're dismissed!"
Fatima and Kolani walked back into the courtroom!
All rise for the honorable Andrea J. Barnes-Scott Esq.!
Andrea, "You all may be seated! This case presented before us today is Zachary Luther Taylor and Dominic Lovell Wilson vs. the state of Georgia! This is a RICO case! All information and evidence provided to the court today will be done under my discretion! Counselors how do the defendants plead?"
Fatima and Kolani, "Not Guilty!"
Andrea, "Alright let's proceed! Who is representing the state today?"
Hayden, "I am your honor!"
Andrea, "Mr. James what evidence do you have to present to the court?"
Hayden, "Your honor, we have surveillance of the defendants moving crates from a warehouse downtown! We also have a key witness who claims to have been offered a position in the organization run by both defendants!"
Fatima and Kolani, "Your honor this is the first we are hearing about any of this! The last time we seen Mr. James he had nothing but speculations and circumstantial evidence!"
Andrea, "Mr. James you are aware that the counselors representing the defendants should have been presented with all evidence?"
Hayden, "Your honor, all evidence was presented to the office of Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Taylor this morning!"
Fatima, "This morning!"
Kolani, "That's absurd!"
Andrea, "Mr. James, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Taylor were here in my chambers with you this morning! The evidence could have been presented then! Why is this information just being acknowledged?"
Hayden, "The information came to us last night from an anonymous source! We needed to prove the validity of it!"
Andrea, "Mr. James all information from this moment forward should be submitted to the court for review ahead of time! You've just stalled this case! We will have to resume in two hours from now! Court is dismissed! I need to see all counselors in my chambers NOW!"
