Alex and Cole said nothing for a while, when we all realised they weren't going to talk I opened my emails on my phone to see if there were any replies from the DNA matching company but there was nothing. Then Danny started rehearing his play that he was doing for school, repeatedly.
"Okay, okay, you've got it down, we all could say it at this point" Isaac groans
"Yea, I'm with Isaac, stop please" I say, looking up from resting my head on the table
"Can you just like figure this out? Because like this fight is affecting all of us now" Nathan says looking at Cole
I groan slightly from the pain coming from my abdomen, rubbing it slowly
Fucking cramps
"Really? Seems like it's mainly affecting me thought right, you know the one with the black eye" Cole says, pointing at his black eye with his finger
I cringed at the bruising around his eye, it was dark purple, and his eye was slightly swollen.
I sigh
"Alright fine, I didn't spread the rumour about you crying like a little bitch" Cole says, when I squeeze his hand under the table
"I wish I had of course because you snitched on me to Dad, but I didn't" he says turning to Alex
"I didn't snitch" Alex says
He sighs when the room goes quiet
"Ok, I should have said no instead of nothing to Dad, but I didn't because of what you said to Kaia at the bonfire" he finishes
"What did you say to Kaia at the bonfire?" Lee asks
"Yea, I kind of wanna know too" Danny says, giving Cole a curious look
I sigh at the memory of me and Cole talking and him convincing me to do a DNA test until Alex cut in. Everyone knows now that the Howards aren't my biological parents but no one except Cole knew that I sent in a sample of my blood for the DNA test. Apparently, I should be getting my results back in a couple of days and two days later there is still nothing. I have to admit I'm still quite nervous.
"Guys, can we focus" Nathan says, getting irritated
"Alright Alex, I forgive you for punching me, and I'm really sorry that you can't get over how jealous you are of me" Cole says, clearly still angry with Alex
'Jealous?" Alex says
"Who could be jealous of someone who clearly goes around breaking hearts for fun, who's next Cole, Kaia? Are you going to throw her away like you did with all those other girls after she falls for you?" Alex says matching Cole's anger
Cole stands up and storms over to Alex
I stand up from my chair and stand in front of Cole
"How about you say that again" Cole spits
He tries to walk past me, but I wrap my arms around him, trying to hold him back
"Maybe I will" Alex says, edging Cole on
Everyone stops when a loud thud is heard behind us
We turn and see Nathan lying on the ground
Fuck
"Shit, Nathan" I yell running to him and shaking him gently
"Go get Mum" Cole yells
"Someone go get Mum and Dad, go!" Cole yells again, frantically trying to get Nathan to wake up as the rest of the Walter boys run out of the room.
