John is still trying to take in what just happened during the storm, same with his surroundings. "Crikey, I feel like this isn't Liverpool!" He said. The rhythm guitarist sees a few landmarks, suddenly recognizing where he is. "There's the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. What in blazes am I doing in New York?" Asked John.
"What does anybody do in New York?" Asked a male voice. John looks down and sees a white dog with brown spots. "A dog! And did you just... talk?" He asked. "You ain't hearing things, dude, I definitely did talk. Name's Dodger, what's yours?" Asked the dog. "I'm John, I'm in a band." John said. "Well, Johnny boy, why don't you tell me more about this band?" Dodger asked.
Though he feels weird actually having a conversation with a dog, John didn't want to be rude. "Um... it's called the Beatles, I'm the rhythm guitarist, sometimes on the mouth organ, and the members consist of me best mates, Paul McCartney on the bass, George Harrison on lead guitar, and Ringo Starr on drums." He said. "Mouth organ? What's that?" Asked Dodger. "I meant to say harmonica, I just call it the mouth organ." Said John.
"Sounds like you have a swingin' time with your group. Where ya from?" Dodger asked. "Liverpool, it's in England. Are you from around here, Dodger?" John asked. "Sure am, I've got friends of my own in a nearby alley." Said Dodger. "Are they street dogs too?" Asked John. "You've got a sharp mind, John! Their names are Rita, Tito, Einstein, and Francis. And this may come as a surprise to you, we actually befriended a cat named Oliver." Dodger said.
A confused expression appears on John's face. "Don't dogs usually chase cats?" He asked. "They do, but that little kitty looked like he needed help, even though he didn't want me bothering him at first." Said Dodger. "Huh, interesting. Anyway, I'd like to get into how I ended up here." John said. "Did you take a plane?" Dodger asked. "I wish, but I was actually blown here by a raging storm." Said John.
Dodger's eyes widen. "That's a bit strange, wouldn't you say?" He asked. "Oh, believe me, I know it is. But you have to understand, I'm telling the truth." John said. "No need to get fresh, I never said you were lying. I'm just saying people don't normally get carried to another state by a storm." Said Dodger. "Worse yet, I don't see me mates anywhere." Said John.
"I can help you look for them, if you'd like." Dodger said. "That's very nice of you, Dodger, but I doubt they're anywhere around here." John said. "Hey. When you got your pals, you got all ya need." Said Dodger. "Tell that to me mates if you find them. Now let's get searching." Said John.
