Alex In Idaho

Four vultures are perched on the branch of a big tree. "Hey, Flaps, what we gonna do?" Asked the one named Buzzy. "I don't know. What you wanna do?" Asked the one named Flaps.

"I got it! Let's flap over to the east side of the state! They've always got a bit of action, a bit of a swinging scene, all right." Said the one named Ziggy. "Ah, come off it! Things are right dead all over." Buzzy said. "You mean you wish they were!" Ziggy said. Three out of the four vultures laugh. "Very funny." Said the one named Dizzy.

"Okay, so what we gonna do?" Asked Buzzy. "I don't know. What you wanna do?" Flaps asked again. "Look, Flaps, first I say, 'what we gonna do?' and then you say, 'I don't know, what you wanna do?', they I say, 'what we gonna do?', you say 'what you wanna do?', 'what you gonna do', 'what you wanna' - let's do something!" Buzzy said. "Okay. What you wanna do?" Asked Flaps once more.

Buzzy rolls his eyes. "Oh, blimey, there you go again. The same notes again!" He said. "I've got it! This time, I've really got it." Said Ziggy. "So you got it. So what we gonna do?" Asked Buzzy. "Hold it, lads. Look, look what's coming our way." Dizzy said.

The vultures notice a figure at a faraway distance. "Hey, what in the world is that?" Flaps asked. "What a crazy looking bunch of bones." Ziggy said. "Yeah, and the're all walking about by themselves." Said Dizzy. "So what we gonna do?" Buzzy asked. "I don't know-- now don't start that again!" Said Flaps in an annoyed tone. "Come on lads, come one let's have some fun with this little girl, this little flockey?" Said Ziggy.

Down below is Alex, who's trying to figure out where she ended up. "Hello? Anyone here? Where am I?" She hollered. Luckily her question is answered when she sees a sign.

"I'm in Idaho? Hey, the Barlows moved here for Eric's new job! Maybe I can... no, I'm with Ryder now. Wake up, Alex! Stop pining for your ex!" Said Alex as she slapped herself in the face. The sound of wings flapping gets her attention.

Coming in the middle Russo's direction are the vultures. They get a look at Alex after landing in front of her. "Blimey, she's got legs like a storky." Flaps said. "Like a stork, heh-heh, but she ain't got no feathers." Said Buzzy. "Four talking vultures? And they're teasing me? Ugh!" Alex said before walking away.

"What's wrong with her?" Dizzy asked. "I think we overdid it." Said Flaps. "We were just having a bit of fun that's all." Said Dizzy. "Just look at her. What a poor little lady. You know, she must be down on her luck." Buzzy said. "Yeah, or she wouldn't be in our neighborhood." Dizzy said. "Hey, new kid! Wait a minute, hey!" Said Buzzy.

Alex turns around and sees the vultures flying towards her. "Now what?" She asked. "We didn't mean to tease you. What's your name?" Ziggy asked. "Alex, and you are?" Asked Alex. The vultures introduce themselves one at a time.

"What brings you to Idaho?" Flaps asked. Alex doesn't say anything for a minute. "You sound a bit like my ex-boyfriend." She said finally. "I do?" Asked Flaps. "Yeah, but I'm not here to see him. I was carried away during a massive storm." Alex said. "A storm? Blimey, that's unusual." Said Ziggy. "We're from India, but we felt like doing a bit of travelling." Said Dizzy.

Alex raises an eyebrow. "I've never seen birds fly to another country." She said. "Look, love, most birds don't travel, but we wanted to have a little adventure." Buzzy said. "A friend of mine and my brothers is quite adventurous herself. Anyway, can you help me get back to Liverpool? We've been living there for the past two years." Said Alex. "If only we knew how. You said you got here by a strong wind?" Dizzy asked. "Yeah, which is, like Ziggy said earlier, unusual." Alex said.

"Maybe your adventurous friend can help you, whoever she is." Ziggy said. "If she can find me here." Said Alex. "Don't lose hope, Alex, it's not the end of the world." Flaps said. "It feels like it to me." Alex said.

"In the meantime, what we gonna do?" Asked Buzzy. "I don't know-- now don't start that again!" Said Flaps in an annoyed tone.
