Hannah's eyes fluttered open as she slowly regained her consciousness. For a moment, she was dazed as she looked at the ceiling. The headache wasn't there anymore and she didn't feel as much pain as before as well.

She was still in the cafeteria, but she was all patched up this time. Hannah looked to her right and saw the kids huddled up together. She let out a sigh of relief to see them safe and unscathed.

She looked to her other side and was met with two glittering pink orbs just a breath away. Hannah blinked once, then another before realizing that she wasn't hallucinating.

The brunette let out a startled scream and rolled away from the bluenette. "Rise and shine, darling!" The pink-eyed girl chuckled with a wide grin then sat up straight.

"She's awake!" She announced to literally everyone who was in the cafeteria.

Hannah noticed that the two portals are now closed and that no monsters were in sight. Except for the corpses of both students and monsters. The cafeteria looked like a blood bath, except for where they were.

The boy from before looked away from the book he was holding and looked at Hannah and the pink-haired girl.

Turning away from the two, Hannah noticed the others staring at her. Helen ran up to me with tears and snot and hugged my waist.

"Big sister!" She pushed her face on her stomach then started sobbing. Hannah placed her hand on her head and gently patted her hair. "Y-you're okay!"

Hannah raised her little sister's chin then said with a cheeky grin, "Of course I am! I told you I'll be fine."

A loud laugh erupted in the air, and it was a laugh Hannah could never forget. "Still as cheeky, I see. Even after a life or death situation!"

"Why wouldn't I?" She grinned at Rick, the school janitor. "You looked cool by the way when you fought that monster!"

He scratched at the back of his nape with an embarrassed look. "It's nothing really, just some fighting techniques I learned as a teenager."

"Still think you looked cool though." As Hannah talked to Rick, she could feel an intense gaze pointed at her back. She could only tell it as a look of murder, but why was it pointed at her?!

Someone cleared their throat and they all looked at Roger. "Can we please focus on the current situation. It is nice that Ms. Moore is still alive and breathing, but I would like to know what is currently happening."

Hannah pursed her lips. She felt a slight envy in her heart, he was too smart and she does not like that. How can he be so calm and rational with everything going on?!

She turned her head towards the girl and boy, who she guessed are twins, then to the school staffs and administrators. They definitely play a part in this.

"Mr. and Ms. Cadler shall explain." The principal nodded at the girl and boy. The bluenette's smile faltered for a bit while the boy still had the same aloof expression.

The boy nodded. "As for you guys that do not know us. I am Lateo and she is--"

"Latea!" The girl finished his sentence. "As you can see, we are twins. And I'm the oldest!" She exclaimed proudly, putting an emphasis on the last sentence.

Lateo let out a groan, "Didn't have to rub it in my face, sister. And plus, you're only older by five minutes." He rolled his eyes with a scowl and clicked his tongue. Mhm, the typical twin dynamic.

Latea just gave him a smirk before turning back to the others. "We both came from a far away universe and have come to stop the breakthrough."

"Breakthrough?" Rina narrowed her eyes at the twins. "What exactly is this breakthrough?"

Latea's smile became awkward at the question, she let out an awkward cough, "About that..." The girl let out a small laugh, "I'm not very good at history so I'll let my twin explain instead."

She stepped aside and gave the spotlight to Lateo who was currently glaring at her right now. The bluenette gave him an apologetic smile.

Lateo pinched his temple then let out an exasperated sigh, "This isn't the first time this happened. You see, before in the time of our ancestors, portals are opened to different universes, or worlds to put it simply."

"With the use of these portals they were able to do transactions and flourished throughout the years. Humans learned to use magic this way as to help them in their daily lives."

"Just like us!" Latea piped in and Lateo nodded in agreement.

This immediately piqued Samantha's interest, "Magic, you say?" A mischievous smile slowly formed on her lips. The same smile smile sent a chill up Latea's spine.

"Uhm? Y-yes?" The bluenette said, unsure of her own response.

The auburn-haired girl hummed in thought, "Continue." She said dismissively. This made the bluenette dumbfounded.

The bluenette's twin rolled his eyes at her before continuing, "Yes, and all of you have magic. The magic you have is decided by the things you love, hobbies, actions, the way you think, attitude, or your daily activities in life."

Niven sweated in the background and slowly turned his gaze to his best friend, Samantha. He does not have a good feeling about this, not when his friend was an incarnation of the devil! Okay, maybe his exaggerating but he isn't when he says she's a psychopath. She has no remorse!

"There are many magics you might have, the common ones being water, fire, wind, and earth magic." Lateo continued explaining, ignoring everything in his surroundings. "You can advance these magics, if you practice enough, to ice, electricity, gravity, and metal. It's not an easy feat, though."

Latea nodded in agreement, "While these are common magics, they are also hard to control even more so in their advanced level. It took us years to control ours."

"What are your magics?" Kyla, one of the gymnatians, asked.

"Lateo's is telekinesis while mine is Inferno." Latea replied to the girl with a carefree smile.

"Telekinesis and Inferno?" Ryan muttered, "Quite a weird combination, but okay. How did you guys get these magics? I don't really see a connection."

The bluenette flushed in what they could only guess as embarrassment while the pink-haired boy gave a small, rare smile, "I got mine through reading a lot."

"And I probably got mine thanks to me playing with fire all the time. I got burned two times already, but I have no regrets!" Latea sported a proud grin.

"Then isn't your power supposed to be fire if you like to play with fire?" Angela joined in the conversation.

"You see, it runs through our blood that we get strong magics since our ancestors are part of the royal court. And that is why we are sent here."

"Speaking of why we're sent here, we are getting off track. We're supposed to be talking about the breakthrough." Lateo reminded his twin who immediately perked.

"Right! We'll then, I'll leave it to you to explain, my dear baby brother." She plopped down next to Rina who glared at her.

The pinknette stared at his sister, perplexed. But then again, she was never good at history and mostly dozed off in their history classes.

"Well then, I suggest you all sit down since this will be long. And don't you dare doze off, especially you Latea." He glared at his twin who shrugged it off with a smirk.
