Chapter Four

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Alright, let's split up!" Latea suggested. They all looked at her with scrutinizing looks. "What?"

"I don't think that's a good idea." Niven stated and they all agreed.

"Why is that?" Latea asked. Was she acting dumb or is she just dumb?

"There's a chance that one of us could get attacked. And most of us are better fighting with someone." Roger explained and pointed at Kyla and Ryan.

"Who said you're going alone?" Latea raised a brow. "We're going to split into groups. You think I'll let you guys get into danger? No way!" She huffed in disbelief.

Lateo nodded, "It's best if we split into groups. It will be much faster to find survivors that way."

Hannah hummed then remembered something or someone, "Hansel!" She yelled his name and started to panic.

Everyone looked at her as she panicked, Helen also realized that Hansel is still out there and they don't even know if his dead or alive! They couldn't even chat because the signal got cut off!

"Hurry up and get this over with! Hansel might be in danger!" Hannah's eyes swelled at the thought of loosing that annoying brother of her's. She couldn't help but miss his nagging and teasing eyes.

"Hansel? Your brother?" Latea asked.

"Yes!" Hannah grabbed her shoulders.

"His safe, don't worry. He is currently with someone we know and is sure that he'll protect him." Lateo said cooly as if a breakthrough wasn't happening. Hannah turned her head towards him.

"Someone?" She suspiciously looked at Lateo.

He nodded, "There are more of us who were tasked to oversee the Milky Way."

"Whereㅡ"

"Enough of that, let's focus on the current situation!" Latea stepped in and interrupted Hannah. "Who do you guys think should go together? Seeing as there's eighteen of us and five floors there should be four groups with four members. Me and my brother will be going together on the fifth floor."

"I'm going with Ryan." Kyla immediately picked Ryan once Latea finished speaking.

"Okay, who else wants to go with Kyla and Ryan?" Latea asked.

Samantha raised her hand with a smirk. "I'll go with them. I think we make a perfect trio." She purred making Hannah cringe.

The two gymnastic champions paled. "C-can we go with someone else, p-please?" Ryan stuttered while Kyla hid behind the boy even though she's much more taller than him.

Samantha grinned wickedly at them. Truly a wicked woman, thought Hannah. "Backing down already, darling?"

"N-no...?" Ryan said, unsure of his own answer.

"Then I'm going with you guys!" She gave them a charming smile.

"No." Kyla said with a monotone voice. Samantha quirked a brow at her. "I dont like you." Kyla glared through Ryan's shoulder.

"You... don't like me?" Samantha blinked as if she couldn't believe what she just heard. Her face twisted for a few seconds before turning back to normal. "Then I'll make you like me."

Hannah could see Kyla and Ryan tremble with what Samantha said. And to be honest, she felt a sliver of fear when she heard that.

Latea cleared her throat to ease the tension brewing. "Then it's decided. Kyla, Ryan, Samantha, and Lilly will go together to the second floor."

Samantha gave her a blindingly bright smile while the other two gave her pleading looks. Latea gave the two a helpless smile before turning to the others.

"Since this is taking way too long, I'll assign the rest of the groups." Lateo scanned his eyes to all of them. "Rina, Angela, Naomi, and Sammy can go together on the first floor. Niven, Oliver, Clark, and Genevieve can go on the third floor. While Hannah, Alissa, Helen, and Roger will be on the fourth."

"What? Why am I going with them?" Genevieve asked with a quirked brow. "And how do you know my name?"

"Just go along with it." Lateo said. "And about your second question, research."

Genevieve grumbled under her breath before going back to chatting with her friends.

"Alright, everyone! Gather up with your group and go to your designated floors!" Latea clapped her hands with a bright smile.

Everyone gathered up.
