Chapter Six

The twins reminded us of something before letting us roam the first floor. "Don't, and we mean don't, ever go out of this building." Lateo gave us a serious look.

Latea nodded, "You'll regret it if you do."

"Sure." Rina replied casually and started to walk, it was a sign to follow her. "It's best if we walk together. It might take us longer, but it can ensure our safety."

"I agree!" Angela easily agreed to Rina and I nodded along with whatever they said.

"Now, Summer or whatever your name is don't wander off--" She turned her head to look at Sammy to only be met with nothing. "Samuel?"

"His name is Sammy." I corrected, she quirked her brow. "His name is Sammy." I repeated.

"I heard you the first time, Nana." She sighed, "But where the hell is that little boy?! This is why I hate kids."

"I'll go find him, he shouldn't have went that far." I said calmly.

"We'll go with you! You can't go alone!" Angela exclaimed and held my hand.

I nodded my head and turned to Rina. She looked back at me with a questioning look.

"What?" She asked. I arched a brow at her. "Of course I'm going. You think I'll let you guys go by yourselves?"

A small smile made its way to my face and I turned around to walk in a random direction.

"Can't we just call out for him?" Rina complained. We have been walking around the halls of the first floor for an hour or so. There was still no sign of Sammy. "This gross stench is making me sick."

"We can't, the monsters will know we're here. We'll be in trouble if we do." Angela explained for me.

Rina stopped complaining after a few minutes.

We walked in silence as we walked through a pile of bodies and the two were careful not to step on a puddle of blood.

I walked casually not minding the chaos surrounding us.

"How are you so calmㅡ Holy Mother of Cheese!!!" Angela shouted as we turned around a corner and saw a huge lizard monster in front of Sammy as he took cover.

The lizard turned to us. It shrieked and crawled towards us.

"Ahh!" Rina screamed as the reptile got closer and closer to us. "Split!"

We all split up in different directions in hopes that it will buy us time. "It breaths fire just so you know!" Sammy informed us as he ran away from the burnt table he took cover on.

"A freaking lizard that breaths fire? Just our luck!" Angela cried.

"You little brat! If you just stayed put we wouldn't be here right now!" Rina crouched down just as the lizard spewed fire at her direction. "I should have known a fire breathing creature was here when we saw those ashes!"

"Too late, we're already here. We can't turn back now." I continued to run as I scanned my eyes around the reptiles body, looking for a weakness.
