Chapter 7

I'm waiting outside of Sheena's house. I'm in euphoria up until now because she let me court her. Finally, I got the chance to showcase my feelings for her.

To be transparent, I'm new to this kind of romantic stuff. Wala pa naman akong naging karelasyon before and si Sheena yung unang babae na nagustuhan ko na pinursue ko.

Nakita ko si Sheena lumabas ng bahay nila and medyo may pagtataka sa mukha niya bakit ang aga ko.

"Ano ginagawa mo dito?" Tanong niya.

"Sabay na tayo pumasok." Sabi ko. Hindi naman siya pumalag kaya sumakay na kaming dalawa sa kotse ko.

"Did you eat breakfast na ba?" Tanong ko while driving. I stole a glance at her and she nods her head.

"Yes. Hindi naman ako papayagan ni Mom umalis ng walang breakfast."

"That's good to hear. I'll come early next time so I can make breakfast for you and your mom."

"You can cook?" I turn my gaze towards her and nod my head. I can see the amusement in her eyes.

"Yep. Mom taught me." She formed an O shaped with her lips and slowly nod her head multiple times.

"By the way, is there any chance I can talk to your mom? I want to properly ask for her approval." I stated. Malapit na kami sa school kaya medyo binagalan ko yung pagpapatakbo ng kotse ko.

"Always available naman si Mom. Just let me know ahead of time if bibisita ka." She simply replied. I parked my car sa parking lot and was about to get off to open the door for Sheena when she suddenly hold my wrist and stopped me.

I gave her a quizzical look. "Wag mo na ako pagbuksan ng pintuan." She said.

"Why not?"

"Baka magalit sakin yung mga admirers mo and pagchismisan ka pa."

I straightened up my expression. "They already know that this is my car. As soon as you get off, they will talk. At least let me be proud of something. I want to show everyone that you're the one that I like."

I made sure that she can hear and see my sincerity. I don't want her to think that I'm not proud of her.

Nakatingin lang siya sakin and walang salita. "But if you don't want to, you go first and I'll follow. We can just make up something like, sinabay lang kita kasi malalate ka na." Hindi ko man gusto yung sinabi ko wala naman akong magagawa if she's not comfortable being seen with me.

"You're right. I'm sorry. Masyado lang akong nag-ooverthink." A moment passed before I understand what she meant. Nakangiti akong lumabas ng kotse and pinagbuksan siya ng pintuan.

The moment na lumabas ng kotse si Sheena, pinagtitinginan kami ng mga tao. Not to brag but I know how impacting my popularity is.

Habang naglalakad kami ni Sheena, hindi ko mapigilan na hindi siya tignan kasi I know she's not used to this much of attention before.

"You okay?" Tanong ko sa kanya. Tumingin naman siya sakin and tipid na ngumiti. Gusto kong hawakan yung kamay niya and tell her that everything is fine to ease her tense but I'm hesitant.

Inalis ko na yung tingin ko sa kanya pero bigla ulit bumalik kasi naramdaman ko yung paghawak niya sa kamay ko. Napatingin ako sa kamay namin then sa mata niya.

"I'm fine. Quit looking at me." She said. I want to smile but I suppress it. I don't want her to think that I'm so down for her. Although, totoo naman pero kahit na.

Nakarating kami sa locker niya. I'm about to say something when I heard her friends called her. "Sheena Mae!" I turn to see her friend who're rushing towards us.
