Just as he finished up the last touches on the cupcakes he had just pulled out of the oven he heard the front door open. "Tay?" he asked, a smile spreading on his face. His girlfriend had been at rehearsals all day and since he knew she would be exhausted once she came home he had decided to surprise her with some selfmade cupcakes. Ever since him and Taylor had been living together he had learned a lot about baking and cooking and every once in a while he liked to put his newly learned skills to the test.

"Hey Trav." She replied and he could hear from her voice that she was tired. Drying off his hands with a towel he walked around the corner into the hallway, but what he then saw was not what he had expected. "Oh my god Tay what the hell happened?" he asked, rushing towards her as he saw her standing there with crutches, her right foot wrapped tightly into a little cast. "I twisted my ankle." She whispered, letting him take her into his arms. He could feel her tense muscles slightly relax as she leaned into his chest and he kept rubbing her back.

"Tree insisted on taking me to the hospital, I'm sorry I didn't call you I was just- I didn't want to worry you." She explained. "That's okay sweetie." Travis gave back, kissing the top of her head. "Is it bad?" he then asked, taking a step back to look at her. "No, I got lucky it will only take about two weeks until it heals off." She said, smiling at him tiredly.

"Alright that's manageable. Good thing you've got another month off until tour starts again." He said, taking her bag from her. "Can you help me upstairs? I'm all sweaty and gross." Taylor muttered shyly, obviously not very fond of the idea of needing so much help from him over the next two weeks. But without saying anything he took the crutches from her and in one swift motion picked her up, cradling her against him as he walked up the stairs. She giggled quietly as she hid her face in his neck, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. He couldn't help but smile at the sound of her little giggle. Over the past year it had become one of his favourite sounds in the entire world.

"I think it'll work best if I wrap your foot into a plastic bag so it won't get wet, then we can shower together, how does that sound." He said, placing her down on the bed. "Sounds amazing." She said with a little smirk playing around her lips. „I also have a little surprise for you after showering." He then teased as he secured the bag he got from the bathroom with some tape around her right foot. "Really?" she asked, giving him the most adorable expression he had ever seen on her face. He couldn't help but lean up a little to place his lips on hers. "I love you so much Tay. And I'm going to spoil you until you're all better." He said before helping her get undressed, taking off his own clothes as well and picking her up again, carrying her into the shower.

"I'm going to place you down, but I won't let go I promise." He said, waiting for her to give her consent before placing her down on her left foot, his arm still tightly wrapped around her back, holding her up and taking most of her weight.

It wasn't easy but he managed to get both of them showered and even found a way to wash her hair while holding her up. Picking her up again he turned off the shower, stepped out and sat her down next to the sink where he had already placed a towel beforehand. He then wrapped her into the biggest, fluffiest towel he could find, leaving only her head peeking out what made him smile brightly. She looked so damn adorable all wrapped up in this giant towel. After getting dressed he then pulled out her hairbrush and all her hair products as well as the blow drier and sat her down on a chair in front of the mirror. "You know I can still move my arms right?" she chuckled as he started to comb through her hair in the most gentle way possible. "I told you I would spoil you right? That includes brushing your hair. And I know you love when I do that." He said, looking at her through the mirror.

"I do." She said with a small smile, closing her eyes and sighing softly. She was indeed enjoying this a lot.

Half an hour later she was dressed in one of his hoodies and sweatpants and he was carrying her down the stairs and into the kitchen. "Now, about your surprise. I think we should order some dinner first. Because your surprise may or may not be about dessert." He said, seeing a bright grin on her lips as she spotted the cupcakes. "You baked cupcakes?" she asked in disbelief, looking up at him as he placed her on the kitchen counter. "I did." He said proudly, kissing her cheek before picking up his phone.

"Now, what would you like for dinner?" he asked, assuming he probably already knew the answer. "Chicken tenders." She whispered before trying to suppress a yawn. "What about we watch a movie until our food arrives." He suggested after ordering some chicken tenders, fries and two burgers, knowing that fast food was always comforting for her when she was tired or not feeling well. He could see that she was close to falling asleep as he picked her up again and brought her over to the couch.

"Thank you for taking care of me Trav." She said as she cuddled herself into his chest, still on his lap sideways. "Of course sweetie. I love taking care of my girl. You're always so strong and so tough and I'm really glad you're learning to let your guard down around me. That means a lot Tay."

"Do you think I'll lose my stamina if I can't work out properly for two weeks?" she then asked after a few minutes of silence. He could hear the fear in her voice. "No, I think you'll be fine. I could do some physical therapy with you if you'd like. It might help to keep you in form and it might speed up your recovery." He suggested, receiving a tiny nod in response. It was clear that she was barely able to keep her eyes open. So, instead of continuing talking about this he started rubbing her back once again to help her to fall asleep. A nap before dinner wouldn't hurt and might give her back some of her energy.

He knew that it would be hard for her to let him take care of her like this for two weeks straight. She was independent and hated asking for help. And she also got bored pretty quickly when she would be stuck in the same place for so long. She was someone who needed constant stimulation, someone who liked to be active, do sports, work a lot. Resting was there for something that she would start to hate within the first two days of her recovery.

But he was going to make sure she would actually slow down for a while to recover as fast as possible. And just like he had promised, he was going to spoil her during that time.
