When Travis came home from today's game against the Falcons, the house was almost completely silent. The only thing he could make out was the muffled sound of the tv, playing something in the far distance. After putting away his bag in the laundry room, hoping he would remember to put his sweaty sports gear into the laundry machine sometime later today he made his way upstairs. Luckily he had already showered at the stadium, meaning he could just climb into bed right away and cuddle up with his girlfriend.

The second he reached the bedroom and peaked inside, his face lit up with a giant smile. There she was, wearing an oversized, vintage chiefs' sweatshirt, a baseball cap with the chiefs logo on it and a bright red scarf, cuddled into the comforter and two more blankets, lying back against a pile of pillows, a tissue box on the empty side of the bed next to her. Her eyes were only half-way open, as if her eyelids were too heavy for her to open them properly and her cheeks were slightly flushed.

"Hey baby girl." He said quietly, not wanting to startle her since she hadn't noticed him standing in the door yet. "Hey." She said groggily, smiling weakly at him, trying to open her eyes a little further. "Congrats on the win." She said as he sat down next to her, lifting his hand to stroke her cheek. "Thanks. Did you manage to watch the whole thing?" he asked, a little surprised. Honestly he had expected her to fall asleep the minute the game would start since she had already been so tired when he had left this morning.

"Yeah, I only fell asleep during an add break. Good thing is the commentator obviously was a chiefs fan, so I immediately woke up the second something exciting happened." She giggled, making him chuckle slightly. "How are you feeling?" he then asked, checking her forehead with the back of his hand. It still felt warmer than usual. "I'm okay, took some cold meds that Tree sent." She mumbled, looking up at him with the most adorable expression on her face. He straight up just melted at the sight in front of them. Although he had been sad that Taylor hadn't been able to come to the game today since she had caught Wyatt's cold last weekend, seeing her all cuddled up like this, slightly drowsy from the medication she had took, was literally the cutest thing he had ever seen.

They just sat there in comfortable silence for a while, looking at each other, getting lost in the moment. It was undeniable how much love both of them felt for each other and the fact that they could express that just by looking at one another like that was just beyond magical. She sniffled quietly, scrunching up her nose in the exact same way she always did when falling asleep, one of the habits of sleepy Taylor.

"God when you look like that I just want to cuddle you all day. You look all soft and cozy and warm." He said absently, still stroking her cheek with his thumb and taking off her baseball cap. "I wouldn't mind some cuddles." She whispered, blinking a few times, obviously having trouble keeping her eyes open. Without hesitating any longer he got up and quickly changed into some sweatshirts and a shirt before slipping under the mountains of blankets next to her, pulling her close to him. "No you have to lay on the pillows my head has to be up otherwise I can't breathe." Taylore mumbled adorably, making him smile once again. "Alright princess." He replied, gently pulling her up with him so that they were both half lying, half sitting, Talyor cuddled into his side, her head rested on his shoulder, his arm around her, caressing her back tenderly.

"This okay?" he asked after she settled and he felt her fully relax into him. She gave him a small nod, sighing contently at the light pressure on her back. They just stayed like that for a while, the tv softly playing in the background, Taylor's little muffled breaths against his neck and the rain that had started just a few minutes ago, giving the whole situation some kind of romantic touch. Without disturbing Taylor he reached for the remote and turned off the tv since he knew how much Taylor loved napping while listening to the rain and he wanted her to be able to fully enjoy the comforting sound.

And while laying there, he couldn't help but realize that there was absolutely no place he would rather be right now. Even though they had just won a game and his teammates were out celebrating, probably at some club, he didn't regret not going with them for a single second. Even though Taylor was sick and he might get sick too, this was where he was meant to be. He just felt it in this exact second. This was it. Taylor was everything he had ever dreamed of and no matter whether she was sick and tired or not, spending time with her would always be his main priority even if it was just lying in bed together.

Looking down at her he smiled softly. She was occasionally scrunching up her nose, a sign that she wasn't fully asleep and was just resting her eyes for a while, enjoying the closeness to him. This girl had him wrapped around her little finger. He would do anything for her.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be at the game." She whispered after a while. "That's alright baby girl don't feel bad about it. With all that merch you're wearing your good-luck-charm-energy worked over miles, all the way to the stadium." He said, making her giggle quietly. "I'm even wearing a chief's shirt under the sweatshirt." She added proudly. Travis couldn't help but laugh at that. "You're so adorable sweetie." He said, kissing the top of her head.

"And I have red socks too." She then exclaimed, wriggling one foot out from underneath the blankets and lifting it up so he could see the bright red fluffy socks with each a little yellow stripe. "You went all in huh?" he asked, making sure she would put her foot back under the blankets and that it was properly covered so she wouldn't freeze. "I love you so much. You have no idea how much all of this means to me. Not just that you support me in every way you can it's- over the past year you learned all the rules and all the plays it's- incredible. You're so incredible." He said, kissing her head again and again, pulling her even closer.

"I love you too. Even though you didn't learn any of my choreographies." She giggled, making him laugh. "Hey! I know the Karma choreography by heart and I went on stage with you." He said playfully, tickling her side gently. "Okay okay fine." She laughed, pushing his hands away until her giggles turned into coughs and she sat up, struggling to breathe. He immediately sat up with her, rubbing her back. "Sorry Tay." He said apologetically, trying to help her somehow.

After her coughing fit finally died down she had tears streaming down her red cheeks and she looked absolutely exhausted. "Oh baby angel." He said, picking her up and cradling her against his chest, her legs going around his waist as she cuddled close to him and he stared rubbing her back again. She sniffled miserably, laying her head on his shoulder. "I hope you feel better soon." he whispered into her ear, still rubbing her back until he felt her drift off to sleep.
