After Sam agreed to marry Zach despite his father's disapproval, the wedding preparations began in a rush. There was still that lingering doubt, wondering if his father might interfere again, but after three months of silence and with his mother's support, he slowly started to feel at ease. Especially since everything had been going so smoothly.

"I gave birth to a boy, but here you are... You're the prettiest bride I've ever seen," Mrs. Abiñon said with a soft smile, reaching out to touch Sam's face. "I know I wasn't the kindest mother to you, but believe me when I say I love you, my son."

Her eyes grew misty, and Sam's own began to sting with emotion.

"Don't say that, Mom. I know you only wanted what was best for me," Sam replied before leaning down to hug her. "I love you, Mom. And Dad too, even though he's not here."

Even though it hurt that his father hadn't come—despite the invitation—he still hoped that one day, they'd be a whole family again. It might not be now, but someday.

"Sorry about your dad. I told him, but he's being stubborn again," Mrs. Abiñon sighed. "But don't worry, he's slowly coming around. It's just a matter of time before he comes to see you himself. He may seem cold, but he won't be able to resist you or his grandchildren."

Sam nodded quietly. "I hope so."

"Now, now, don't think about that old man. Focus. Today is your wedding day," she said, lifting his mood. Their car pulled up in front of the church, and Sam stared nervously out the window. Even though they had already signed the legal documents three months ago and were technically already married, today's ceremony made everything feel new and nerve-wracking.

"Right," Sam muttered, clutching the fabric of his outfit.

When they arrived, everything moved so quickly, people rushing, organizers coordinating. Sam waited inside the car for what felt like forever, though only minutes passed. It was like time slowed down. Without the twins by his side, it felt even longer.

"It's time," Mrs. Abiñon called, opening the door. "Come on, your groom is waiting."

Her hand reached for his, gently breaking his trance. Sam stepped out, breath shallow, as the massive church doors loomed in front of him.

"Ready? Remember not to hold your breath," his mother whispered, noticing his stiff posture. But her words barely registered—his body frozen, heart hammering in his chest. He didn't expect to feel this overwhelmed. He once thought this kind of wedding was just a dream, especially marrying his ultimate crush.

Who else could be as lucky?

"Get ready... and 3, 2, 1..." the organizer counted down.

The doors opened, and music filled the air.

🎶 One look at you
My whole life falls in line
I prayed for you
Before I called you mine 🎶

Sam's eyes immediately locked onto Zach standing at the altar, looking back at him with a warm smile. All the nerves vanished. In that moment, nothing else mattered.

🎶 Oh, I can't believe it's true sometimes
Oh, I can't believe it's true 🎶

He thought his love for Zach would always be unrequited. Zach had been engaged, and Sam had been resigned to watching from afar. But life had taken an unexpected turn. And now, standing here, it all felt like a miracle.

🎶 I get to love you
It's the best thing that I'll ever do
I get to love you
It's a promise I'm making to you 🎶

As he walked down the aisle, Sam thought, This is real. This is ours.
