Good ex

He was surprised seeing the a pink female hedgehog. "When I heard about your dad I had to come see if you were ok...." She said. "I appreciate that thanks....." he said to his ex girlfriend from high school. They ended on good terms because they fell out of love with each other. Amy showed up to knuckles mother's funeral as well but it was just old friends talking. "How are things?" He asked handing her a water. "Good got promoted at work and working up the courage to ask out this pretty purple cat from the café down the street." She smiled taking the water. "That's good maybe I could help you out?" Knuckles suggested. "That would be nice thanks." She smiled sipping on water. "But I need to ask why is there a picture of your dad with—" "She cheated on me with my dad and I guess they had a relationship after I dumped her." He said looking down. "Then why—" "I'm technically only here to support my sister she said some things to dad that she been guilty off so I'm here for her mental health." He said. "You were always a good little brother" she smiled. "Tell me about it." He said and they walk over to mace and arrow who hugged her. Mace soon pulled knuckles aside as arrrow and Amy caught up. "Ya know Amy was the best girlfriend you had maybe you should try to rekindle" Mace whispered then winked. "One mace Amy and I fell out of love and two shes interested in a girl at a cafe that I'm gonna help her with." Knuckles said. "So she's lesbian?" "She's pansexual dude" knuckles said. "Ah ok cool." Mace pouts because he liked how Amy treated his brother and she still cares about their family. "She's a good friend to me still even though we don't talk much anymore but every now and then I'm just glad she's helping Arrow." "Me too little bro.... Anyways arrow and I were gonna get drinks tonight with the spouses maybe you and Amy should join us." Mace suggested. "Yeah after today that be a good idea..." knuckles agreed.

Next morning

Knuckles groaned as his head throbs and his phone was buzzing on the nightstand. He grabs it and sees it was an alarm he missed and hits the stop button. He sighed and turns over "What the hell who— oof!" He jump back and falls out of bed. Meanwhile the other occupants bolts up and covers herself. "Oh my god....." she covers her eyes blushing with embarrassment. "Shit!" She said as knuckles got up and put on some pants. "Amy I swear I have no idea—" "Me neither knux...." She agreed and he turned around so she could throw on her black dress. "I'm so sorry...." They both said. "Ugh I'm never going drinking with your brother again..." she said. "Ditto" knuckles replied embarrassed. "Umm let me take you home to change and let's go to the cafe so we can—" "Not now! Not while this is on my mind!" Amy said. "Ok fair enough...." He rose his hands up. "Yo love birds Amy's sister is here to pick her up." Shadow said from behind the door. "Ugh great now I won't hear the end of it from Opal..." Amy huffed. "Shadow and silver aren't gonna let this go either...." Knuckles said. "Let's meet up and have you help me on Wednesday..." Amy said gathering her purse and phone. "Ok" knuckles said and she bolts to the door then stops. "We both know this was a mistake right?" She asked. "Yeah definitely a mistake" knuckles agree relief she was thinking the same thing and she felt at ease but leaving the room. Knuckles plops back down on his bed with regret. Then his phone beeps and saw a text from mace.

Mace: Shadow and Silver texted me about last night when I dropped you both off. Did you two have fun? XD
