Funeral drama

Knuckles lays in his bed processing everything from today. When he hear the front door open he got up and left his room. "Hey knux I brought takeout" Silver said setting the bag down. "How was work? Did they like the pictures?" He asked taking the white boxes out. "Yeah they did and were very impressed with my professionalism that all three bands highly praised me. I also saw Jade who was there to personally give her high praise for me." Knuckles said leaning on the doorway with his arms crossed. "Whoa for real? Damn" silver smiled. "By the way she mentioned that her sister Myra heard I lost Jades number and she gave it to me again. I wonder how Myra heard that?" He smirked and Silver folded his ears and smiled embarrassed. "Well I umm" "You got Myra's number after screwing her twice and wanted to help me huh?" He smiled and silver nods. "Yeah... also I um got a date with her this weekend." Silver said. "Do you now? Well enjoy." Knuckles said grabbing his order just as Shadow walked in. "Hey guys. Oh nice take out." Shadow said taking his boxes. "So umm have you guys saw the news earlier today?" Knuckles asked poking the rice with his spoon. "No been busy all day." Shadow said and bites down on an egg roll. "Same here" silver said before picking up a shrimp with his chopped sticks. "Well before I get to that" knuckles grabs two envelopes from the drawer and hands them to the two. "Here" he smiled and the two open it see a shit ton of cash. "Whoa where did th—" "Well as I told silver they were impress with the pictures and my professionalism so they paid me double and since you guys helped out in more ways than one especially this passed year. I couldn't really gotten through it without you guys. So, I split this pay three ways." He said and they hugged him. "You didn't have to do that man but thanks." Shadow said. "Yeah really but thank you." Silver agreed. "Guess you can spoil Myra this weekend" knuckles smirked and silver laughed. "Definitely" "wait you got a date with her this weekend I got one with Sonia next weekend." Shadow said and Silver high fives him and knuckles gives him a fist bump. "So when you gonna call Jade? Since your wonderful friend here got in contact to have her give it to you again" Silver said with a fake "praise me" attitude making them laugh. "Maybe later I don't know to me something seems off." He said. "Fair enough now what happened on the news?" Shadow asked. Knuckles sighs and tells them about the Julie Sue's and his father's deaths. Both hedgehogs jaws dropped in shock and knuckles pulls out his phone to show the article. "Damn dude how do you feel about that?" Shadow asked. "Honestly I been thinking all day.... And I don't care. For a while I was thinking about the guilt she had and wondered if it was because of all she did and how I cut them off. But now..... I really don't care anymore. Especially because I never really loved my dad as much as I did my mom and I didn't cry hearing he died. One thing I was certain though and that is that I won't be attending any of their funerals." He said. "Good for you knux" "yeah, but what about your siblings?" Silver asked. Before knuckles could answer the door bell rang and he goes to the door. "Mace?" "Knuckles.... Look I know this is sudden but could you come to the funeral this weekend." Mace asked. "Why would I got to that man's funeral..." knuckles growled. "Don't go for me or for dad but go for Arrow.... You know dad and her had a close relationship until Julie sue and she's having guilt about her last words to dad." He said and Knuckles sighed knowing Arrow was probably distraught and remembers that phone call. "Fine I'll go for her" he sighed. "Thank you and I promise it'll just be the one day." Mace said. "Ok" knuckles said and hugged his brother then watch him leave.

The weekend arrived and Knuckled showed up to the funeral home in all black. He saw his sister and Mace by the doors and Arrow jumped up and hugged him. "Thank you for coming....." she said. "I'm here for you Arrow and please don't let that last conversation bring you down ok?" He said and felt her nod. They walked inside and were all shocked seeing  two urns in the room with a big picture of Locke and Julie Sue between them. "What the hell?" Mace growled and Arrow walks out in tears. Mace storms over to the funeral director demanding why there were changes to the original plans. Knuckles went after his sister who was crying hard. "Arrow what's wrong?" He asked. "I wanted dad to have a closed casket...... have a separate area for our family only I don't know what happens but I didn't want him to be cremated....." she cried more. Knuckles felt his body fuming on who would do this. "Those fucking assholes...." They looked up and saw Mace. "What?" Knuckles asked. "Well apparently they got a call from 'Arrow' saying that she changed the plans. Yet when I told them that Arrow did not make no call the funeral director went pale. So we tracked the number and turns out Julie Sue's bitch of a sister and mother called. So in other words police are getting involved. Now they're informing the grave diggers to dig up a small hole and put a liner down for a inurnment (placing of an urn in a grave). Because apparently they were gonna mix the ashes and toss them." Mace said fuming. "How did they get away with that if everything was signed?" Knuckles asked. "I told I'll sign everything after the ceremony and pay because that was the plan..... i should've done it..." Arrow said. Knuckles shook his head and should've known Julie Sue's mother and sister would pull something like this. Now they can't do anything now except go back in and be with family members who were disgusted by Julie Sue's family. Knuckles walks away for a drink when he was approached by a familiar face. "Hey knuckles... it's been years.." he turns and sees a familiar face.
