"What are you waiting for? The bell already rang." Hope gave me a poke. I lifted my head up and looked at her. I realized we were in school. I packed my stuff in a hurry and we walked out the classroom. It was still a little busy in the halls. I didn't even have a chance to speak to her. She was already talking to other people.

Hope is my sister, even better, she is my twin sister. She is friends with literally everyone in this school. You could say she is the popular girl around here. She is the same height as me, a little shorter even. She has green eyes and curly brown hair that reaches a little bit below her shoulders.

I, on the other hand, am not so popular, I have no friends and I'm happy with that. My sister picks me above anyone else, so I don't have to sit alone at lunch or in breaks. I have medium long wavy hair and black in color. My eyes are brown. There are a few girls interested in me, or so my sister says. But even my sister knows that I don't do such things.

But we are not so ordinary as you think we are. Hope and I have superpowers. We discovered the powers last summer vacation, a month before the end of vacation. It was a hot day, so Hope and I decided to go in the pool. We have a huge pool in our backyard, even if we are seventeen, we really enjoy playing and swimming. I was already in the pool when Hope jumped in.

Before she hit the water, she was floating in a red colored bubble. I was scared, so I jumped out of the pool and wanted to call the police. Our parents weren't home, so the police were my only option. Suddenly Hope started to talk to me.

"Max, help me. Please." I looked at her, her eyes were glowing red. I could feel her pain inside of me. It felt like our emotions were connected to each other. There were tears running down her cheeks. I hesitated a little, but I decided to just run at her and try to grab her hand.

"Everything will be okay!" I yelled at her. I was struggling to get to her and when I reached out my hand, my hand began glowing a blue light. I couldn't process everything that happened. Something fired out of my hands, it was an arrow made of blue light. It went right through Hope's red bubble and hit her on the head.

"Hope!" I screamed; tears were running down as Hope slowly fell unconscious on the ground. I tried to go to her, but I was exhausted. I fell unconscious as I crawled towards her. Our parents woke me up moments later, or so it felt like it. But I was sure that it took longer, for at least a couple of hours.

"Everything okay?" Mom asked me. I nodded slowly as I was looking for Hope. I looked at the place she fell, but it was empty.

"Hope is already sleeping in her bed. She wanted to help you but was to tired." My dad came walking towards us. "It's better for you to go to sleep to."

I stood up and walked inside, I was so confused. I waved my parents goodnight and walked upstairs. Hope was waiting for me in our room. We shared a room, our parents didn't have a lot of money, so we share one. I don't mind being honest, it's quite comfy in my opinion. She looked at me when I locked the door behind me.

"What the fuck happened?" I asked. She shrugged.

"I don't know, but it felt like a power was manifesting inside of me." She answered.

"I felt it to, it was some kind of power. I felt your pain inside of me."

"Maybe it is a superpower?"

"I thought that didn't exist."

"Well, clearly it does."

I was walking circles in the room.
