Chapter 4
Madelyns POV

'I am not getting in that car ever again. I thought I made that clear the first time.'

I try to move around alecs car but the engine roared in protest.

'I'll give you three options, okay?' Alec said, holding three fingers out. 'one, you can get in the car. Two, you can avoid getting in the car and I'll drive home quickly before locking you out. Or three, I'll just run over your legs so you have no choice in the matter.' each finger went down with each point.

I groaned, storming around the car to the passenger seat, Alec's eyes never left me as I yanked the door open and put on my seatbelt to go home.

'Channel 9!' I yelled

'Channel 7!' He argued.

'9!'

'7!''

'Turn it to 9!'

'No 7!'

Yep that's me and Alec arguing. We both wanted to watch TV but we wanted to watch different channels.

'Isn't there any other TV in this huge place. Your rich, where's the other tv?' I said.

'Oh yeah! Bye!' Alec said in realisation and bolted up the stairs.

...And how long has he been living in this house...

I turned it to channel 9 and relaxed peacefully on the couch.

I heard my phone ring, I picked it up and cheeked the caller ID. It was Ashely, we all exchanged numbers before leaving school today.

Me: hey

Ashley: oh my god, I need help!

Me: why? What's going on? Are you okay!'

Ashely: I'm in the disabled toilets in the shops and I know that you know about Kate, how she's a mermaid. We're are only the two people she told and-

I stopped her blabbering.

Me: Ashley what's wrong.

Ashely: please come, I'll explain once you get here! I thought of you know about Kate then you should know about me and-

Me: stay there I'm coming.

I hung up, grabbed my keys and shoes them. Drove to the shops.

What was she saying about kate? And that I should know about her too? Is it about being a mermaid? No it can't be.

Once I got there I bolted around trying to find the toilets, since I was new in this area.

Once I found them I knocked on the locked disabled toilets and called Ashelys name.

I heard a click and the door opened. I went inside and shut the door behind me, revealing a long pink tail. I gasped in shock.

'Kate told me you know about her being a mermaid. And I already knew as well. She also said that you were one too.' Ashely said.

'Yeah, I got a blue tail.' I said.

Wow I've met two mermaids in one day.

'Stupid crystal.' She muttered. I laugh and nod.
