Who can a 1 year old possibly know that I am a mermaid? 

I changed back quickly before Alec might come down stairs. I picked up poppy and went up to Alec's room. I peeked in and saw he was laying fast asleep in his bed.

I went back down stairs and sat poppy on the table. I went to the tap and filled up a glass of water. She watched my every move and I brought it over and placed it in front of her.

'Want to see some magic?' I asked her. She nodded understanding what I'm saying.

I raised my hand above the water pulling my hand slowly up and a trail of water followed my hand. Then with a careful move I moved the water a over my head and dropped it straight in my mouth.

She stared wide eyed at me.

'Shhh.' I said putting my finger to my lips, she did the same understanding to not tell anyone. Well I hope.

'Come on let watch some TV.'

I placed her in the couch and I sat next to her, I grabbed the remote and switched it on.

Whoooo-freaking-whoopie. Guess what shows playing now.

"CAN YOU SEE ANY BIRDS?"

They are in fucking trees.

'COUNT WITH ME!'

No.

"NOW, CAN YOU SEE THE YELLOW BRIGDE?"

'Oh my god its behind you!' Shouted at the TV making poppy giggle.

"SING WITH ME!"

'No Dora you can't always get what you want. I'm not singing with you.' I said to the animated character on the screen.

I heard a snicker from behind me. I turned my head around to see Alec laughing at me.

'What?' I asked.

'You! Talking to Dora!' He laughed.

'I swear one day I'm going to rip your eye balls out.' I mumbled.

I changed the channel to something else, pretending Alec wasn't there. But that didn't help because he sat down next to me.

Then I got the tingles. This is annoying! Is this what happens when you like someone? He noticed and smirked at me.

'So you don't have that boyfriend of your anymore.' He said wiggling his eyebrows.

So I decided to play along.

'No, I don't.' I said positioning myself to face him. I lent close so our noses were nearly touching. He stiffened and locked eyes with mine. That's when I realised who beautiful his eyes were. Stop it! Focus! I put my hand on his chest and looked into his eyes.
He realised he was holding his breath, so he started breathing heavily at my closeness.

Just when he was about to lean in, I turned my head leaving him to kiss my cheek. I smirked pushing off his chest and back to face the TV.

'You'll have to try harder than that to get me.' I smirked.

'But soon you'll give up.' He said.

I didn't reply to him because I knew that was true. Because I will have to stop playing hard to get. Sooner or later.

'That was not an accident!' I yelled at Alec. Poppy was giggling in her high chair while eating her mash potatoes.

'I'm sorry.' He said innocently.

'No your not.'

'Fine.' He chuckled. 'I'm not.'

I glared at him. I had mash potatoes in my hair because some bastard decided it was a great idea to do something fun. This was not my idea of fun.

'But, ' he began. 'I think you can pull off potato hair really well.'

I scowled at him.

'I hope you can pull off having no eyeballs because I'm this close to ripping them out of its sockets.' Making a small gap between my thumb and pointer finger.

'Slow down tiger.'

'This isn't Spiderman, Parker!' I growl.

He smirked and paused for a moment before saying: 'would you rather be "little miss flustered"? Because that can be arranged.' He said amused leaning close to me.

I glared at him.

After I put poppy to bed, Alec and I put on a movie called 'A walk to remember.'
I know how to win arguments like this. It's simple:

1. Have a vagina,
2. That's it,
3. you win.

It sad and I'm not going to spoil it for you, but during the middle of the movie Alec fell asleep next to me. It was quite cute.

'This is a keeper.' I whispered taking a photo. I can use this against him one day.

I turned the TV  off and found myself fall into dream land and I was quite comfortable. I probably fallen asleep on Alec. But I don't care. I'm tired.
