Chapter 25
Madelyns pov

'You look pretty.' Kate said tilting her head to the side. I groaned, I'll never find any thing to wear for tonight.

'Relax. Did I ever tell you that I was a fashion designer a few years ago?' Aubry asked.

'No.' We all said.

'Well then. I'm going to make you a dress.'

Ashley got some clear material as we cut it out, measured, and sowed. Aubry was actually quite talented at this. Ashley stitched on silver sequins, and Kate cut out the turquoise blue material. I completely had no say in this at all, just watched them work.

It took 2 hours to make the dress look perfect. (In picture above or side) it was a one shoulder dress, that was absolutely beautiful. I did know my friends had such talent.

Emma, Kate, Aubry and I watched as Ashley hung the dress up on the door infront of us. Emma gushed bring her hands to her cheeks.

'It look amazing!' Emma said.

'This is definitely my best work.' Aubry nodded.

'Alec wouldn't be able to take his eyes off you.' Kate said making all of us turn to look at her. While Emma was looking confused, I was glaring at Kate for blurting it out.

'Am I missing something here?' Emma asked looking at all of us.

'Alec taking me to the dance.' I said. Emma looked at me shocked.

'He's never taken a girl to a dance before.'

'And he kissed her!' Kate yelled then smacking her hand over her mouth. I glared at her again.
'Three times!'

'Wow, so what are you now? A thing?' Emma asked.

'Yeah... Something like that.' I mumbled.

What are we? We've kissed, we both like each other. So then what exactly are we?

'Come on! Put it on!' Aubry said shoving the dress in my face. I happily took it and headed to the bathroom.

***Alec's pov****

Emma told me to go to the dance early, maybe she didn't want me peeking in on the girls. I walked over to the drink stand and poured myself a juice. The room was lit up in lights and a chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. A few chairs and tables were placed around the edges and the stage was the far end of the gym.

'Hey Alec.' Charity said coming up to me. I smiled.

'Waiting for someone?'

'Madelyn.' I answered. Charity poured herself some punch and brought it up to her lips taking a sip.

'I bet she'll look beautiful tonight.' She looked me in the eye. 'I'm sorry Alec. For everything.'

Then she walked away leaving me confused. Charity was actually apologising to me.

I looked around to see a lot of people dancing to "let's get stupid" when my eyes traveled to the entry. And there stood Madelyn with Ashley, Kate and Aubry.

And let me tell you that that dress looked perfect on her. Ashley nudged her as she spotted me. Madelyn left her friends and walked over to me.

'Look what the crystal brought in.'

She smirked at me. 'You know..' She trailed off. 'Just a mermaid that magical turns into the one you fell for.'

'And I'll never forget the moment I realised it.' I said touching her wavey hair.
