The air was thick with tension as Chief Min's team spread out across the darkened streets of Ulsan, the flickering neon lights casting eerie shadows on their faces. The rendezvous point had become a perilous gamble. Officer Kim Namjoon's signal had vanished from the screen, and dread filled the pit of Min's stomach—a feeling he hadn't experienced in years.

As the officers rushed into Jungkook's apartment building, they were alarmed by the sight of blood splatter on the floor. The front door to his apartment was wide open, and the ominous sight sent a chill down their spines.

Immediately, the young officers radioed in to Chief Min, who was just making his way to the businessman's luxurious villa. "Sir, we've got something. Looks like a struggle happened here," he said, his voice edged with concern. "But it doesn't seem as if they were fighting a long time. No signs of a struggle—just a lot of hasty movement."

"The door's damaged," another younger officer pointed out, his voice trembling. "Like someone slammed it on their way out...or in."

"Get everyone on high alert," Min ordered, the sense of urgency surging through him with every heartbeat. "We need to find out what happened in that apartment."

His spirit hardened with the sinking realization that they had potentially lost two key assets. The chaos painted a grim picture. And now, with both of them missing, the team needed to assess all possible scenarios, including betrayal or worse. If they were attacked together, it suggested something larger—an outsider who had laid a trap for them.

As he rushed towards the businessman's luxurious villa, he signaled the teams to take their positions surrounding the door, but then someone alerted him further.

"Sir don't! Wang Seek isn't at home..." crackled the voice of their tech prodigy over the radio, urgency lacing his tone.

Min's heart sank as fury ignited in his chest. "What the fuck are you even saying?!"

"He's at a party in Busan," came a new voice crackling over the radio, their personal hacker and tech prodigy. "We've just received proof of his location."

"What?!" Min's blood ran cold as anger boiled under his skin. "You've been tracking him for days! The exchange is about to take place in the mansion! What the fuck has happened?!"

"W-we did, Chief! We have surveillance showing how he entered a few hours ago and never exited the place. I believe we've been chasing a decoy but can't really tell since when..."

"They anticipated our movements... they might've been abducted somewhere else but Jeon... how come they didn't tell him before changing plans..." Mumbled Min, forrowing."
