The sunlight filtered gently through the curtains of the Wei mansion as a new day dawned. The quiet of the early morning was broken only by the soft rustling of movement as Lan Zhan stirred in the guest room, the warmth of the previous night still lingering in his heart. His dreams had been filled with images of Wei Ying and their twins, a future that he had once thought impossible now seemingly within his reach.

In his own room, Wei Ying woke with a similar warmth. The events of the previous night played on his mind, the tender kiss they had shared under the stars, the way Lan Zhan had held him close. It felt so right, so perfect, that it almost seemed unreal. But as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and glanced at the time, reality set in. There was breakfast to make, children to wake up, and a day ahead filled with more moments of being together as a family.

Without exchanging a word, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan found each other in the kitchen. The atmosphere between them was easy and natural, as though they had been doing this for years. Lan Zhan moved gracefully around the kitchen, preparing ingredients with the same precision he applied to everything in his life, while Wei Ying helped with the simpler tasks, cutting fruit and plating dishes.

Despite the silence, the air was filled with an unspoken understanding, a sense of belonging. Wei Ying couldn't help but sneak glances at Lan Zhan, admiring the way his hands moved with such skill, the subtle smile that tugged at the corner of his lips as he focused on cooking. It was a simple moment, but it was one that Wei Ying cherished deeply.

Once the food was ready-steaming bowls of congee, fresh-cut fruit, and small pancakes drizzled with honey-the pair made their way to the twins' room to wake them up.

Jingyi and Shizhu were tangled in their blankets, their soft snores filling the room as they slept peacefully. Wei Ying smiled fondly at the sight of them, his heart swelling with love as he knelt beside their beds.

"Jingyi, Shizhu," Wei Ying called softly, brushing the hair away from Jingyi's forehead. "Time to wake up, little ones."

Lan Zhan stood beside him, watching quietly as the twins began to stir. Shizhu rubbed his eyes, blinking sleepily up at his father before his gaze landed on Lan Zhan.

"A-die?" Shizhu's voice was small and surprised, as though he hadn't quite processed the fact that Lan Zhan was still there.

"Yes," Lan Zhan said with a gentle smile. "I'm here."

Jingyi was already wide awake, his mischievous grin spreading across his face as he bolted out of bed and ran straight into Lan Zhan's arms. "A-die! You're here!" he exclaimed, wrapping his small arms around Lan Zhan's neck.

Wei Ying watched the scene unfold, his chest tight with emotion as Shizhu quickly followed his brother's lead, clinging to Lan Zhan's side. It was still surreal, seeing the way their lives were coming together so effortlessly.

After helping the twins bathe and get dressed, the family gathered in the dining room for breakfast. The table was set with all their favorite foods, and the twins chattered excitedly as they dug into their meals.

Midway through breakfast, Shizhu looked up from his bowl, his large eyes filled with curiosity as he spoke. "A-die, are you coming with us to school today?"
