"Hello?" I called out, hoping someone would hear me and I could finally get some answers "is anyone there?"

Through a small sort of vent at the bottom of one of the walls, I heard a shuffle "they can't hear you" a deep, rough voice answered.

"You can hear me, are you trapped in here too?"

"To an extent"

"What's your name?" I ask, but the man on the other side of the vent didn't answer, so I just let out a sigh and leaned up against the wall, checking my pockets to realise that I didn't have my phone or my keys; whoever brought me here must have taken them. Luckily, I still had the necklace on that Tony had given me for Christmas. It was small, the chain was thin and hanging off the end was a star. I smiled softly as I looked down at it, remembering one time that Tony and I decided to walk home from Stark Industries and all I could do was talk about the stars...

"The North Star, Polaris, is my favourite. And I know what you're gonna say, you're gonna say that it's everyone's favourite and that I should pick something else, but I promise I have a reason" I explain, glancing at Tony for a second before looking back up at the sky joyfully.

"Okay, what possible reason could you have that makes your choice in star different?" Tony asks, walking alongside me and watching as I began to trail off talking about the star.

"Well, most people don't know that it's actually a cluster of three stars that orbit a common centre of mass, and I like the idea that they stick together. But, that's not the main reason. The main reason I love Polaris is because even though it looks so small to us, it's actually a massive supergiant with a diameter nearly 40 times larger than the sun and five times the mass! I think it's fascinating that the brightest star in the sky isn't as insignificant as we believe it to be. To us people here on earth it's just a dot in the sky and we worry so much about our sun and the affects it has, but in reality that small dot in the sky, if it was any closer, could completely change the way our planet functions and it could alter everything we know. I like to think about it sometimes just to remind myself that even though everything feels small and unimportant, it could change everything in a minute... but, y'know, it's just a star and it's lightyears away, I'm probably reading too much into it" I laugh a little, still staring up at the beautiful sky.

For a moment, Tony said nothing, he just smiled to himself for a moment before looking over at me "it's good to have something that grounds you, maybe your reason to love the North Star really is better than everyone else's"

"I don't know" the low voice from behind the vent said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"What?"

"My name"

"You don't know your name?" I ask, suddenly feeling sad for the man "well, you can call me Katie. It's nice to meet you".

All of a sudden, I hear footsteps approaching my door and immediately stand up "don't say anything" the man in the vent said and I wanted to ask why, but then the door opened and two men stood in its place, one of them walking closer and grabbing me harshly, the other pointing a gun at my face. The two dragged me out into another room, strapping me to a chair surrounded by lab equipment.

I struggled against the restraints, but couldn't move. A different man entered the room, this one wearing a suit "why is she still alive?" He shouts at one of the soldiers "we sent the Winter Soldier after her, so how is she still alive?!" Not having gotten an answer, the man turns to face me, stepping closer "I'm very sorry, but you're not supposed to be alive, so I'm going to have to kill you"

"Why?" I ask, staring at him angrily.

"Stop talking and let's get this over with" he says, pulling out a gun and pointing it at me.
