"Jarvis" I call out.

"Yes, Miss Stark?"

"Where's Tony?"

"Tony left moments ago for a conference. Would you like me to call him?" Jarvis responds.

"No. No, it's okay. Thank you" I stand up in a daze, my head pounding as I wonder out of the bathroom and into the kitchen, grabbing a glass and filling it with water. I search for my phone in my pocket and quickly dial Nat's number, it rings for a minute but she soon picks up.

"This is a bad time, Katie. Can I call you back?" Nat says through the phone.

"Oh, yeah sure, I guess, call me back when you're free"

"Hold on" the call continued but Nat stopped talking, all I could hear coming from the other end of the phone were grunts and groans of pain, clearly Nat was working "Okay, I'm back, what's up?"

"I was just wondering if you could come over, we could have a drink, catch up, or whatever."

"Yeah, sounds great! I'll be over in an hour"

"Great! See you then" I say, hanging up the phone. In the meantime, I take my water and curl up on the couch, putting on a random movie to play in the background whilst I flipped through some files. It was all just the usual boring stuff, finances and employment contracts, sales charts and other tedious things. It kept my mind occupied as I waited for Natasha's arrival. I needed a distraction, something to stop me thinking about how sick I feel, how lightheaded and just generally drained I've been feeling since I woke up. I wish Tony was here, he'd look after me, or maybe he'd overreact and coddle me, bombard me with a hundred doctors to try and find out what's wrong. I don't need that, maybe it's good that he's not here. I love him so much but he worries a lot, I mean I understand why but I think I just need some chill girl time and I'll feel better in no time.

Before I knew it, an hour had passed and Natasha had arrived with a worried look on her face "Katie! are you okay? You look sick"

"I'm good, honestly. Just wanted to hang out, it's been a while" I smile "do you want a drink? Water? Coffee? Vodka?"

"The latter, thank you, and bring the bottle" Nat says. I get up and walk over to the bar, bringing one of bottles of vodka and a glass over to where I was sitting on the couch "are you not drinking with me?"

"No, I'm okay, I'll just stick to my water. Anyway, what've you been up to?" I ask, adjusting my position to get comfortable and lowering the volume on the TV, turning my full attention to Nat.

"Oh just the same shit, different day. I went to visit Clint last week, have you seen the baby? He's adorable, you'd love him. Oh and the kids have grown up so much, they're almost as tall as you"

"Well that's not hard, I'm short as hell" I joke and we both laugh. The day goes on like this until I get tired and pass out on the couch. When I woke up the next morning, Nat was asleep next to me with a glass in her hand, spilling alcohol all over the floor. I wanted to jump up and panic clean the floors but I just had no energy, so without moving, I used my powers to levitate the glass and place it on the table before doing the same with a tea towel that I could just about see in the kitchen. I placed the towel on the floor and just prayed that would soak the alcohol up, if not then the cleaner will come at some point this week and it won't be a problem anyway.

I reached for my phone and checked my notifications. I had a missed call from Tony and a couple messages saying "hey honey, I'll be back tomorrow afternoon, I miss you xxx", then another message saying "good morning beautiful, I'm leaving for my plane now, see you in a couple hours"
