The snow picked up again in the afternoon when Alex entered the apartment, a sigh leaving his lips silently as he dragged his heavy feet to the shower. He had made the grave mistake of letting his P.E teacher convince him to join the football team and he spent two after sessions partaking in brutal training.

Jackie didn't have it better either, he made so many croissants he feared he would have a nightmare about them that night. At least he had Amilee to distract him whenever Calvin wasn't present- he had been in a bad mood today and Amile advised him to stay out of the way when he got like that.

"Jeez, what kinda jerk gets moody and punishes everyone else for it?" Jackie thought, even though he is the type of jerk to do that.

" Now, we can take the leftover pastries home or throw them out! Then I'll close, you look like you're about to drop- go home, okay?" Amile spoke softly, her big green eyes staring up at jackie with a twinkle.

"You spoil me girl, but I'm fine. I'll help you close up, it's dangerous for a girl to be out all alone." He flashed her a toothy smile, his playboyish in full display, truthfully, he loved flirting with women. He loved chasing after the ones he desired and getting between their thighs, it was after that he showed his true colours. He sighed, thinking that this was probably why he was cursed to carry this.... abomination.

He cringed at his thoughts, he didn't care of the fetus but he was beginning to think of it as a person (much to his dismay) so he wanted to stop calling it names, he couldn't stop as it freaked him out still.

He and Amile filled plastic bags with leftovers, closed the shop and went their separate ways. As he walked back home his hands instinctively went to his stomach again, his bump seem to be more firm now although it is still small.

"You poor soul, you have two fathers and none of us are gonna be in your life...maybe you'll get adopted by two hot lesbians." He chucked to himself, his thumb tracing circles on his abdomen.

"Who are you talking to?" A voice called out behind him, stopping him in his tracks. Calvin had saw the boy walking alone and tried to walk up to him for some small talk, he felt bad for ignoring the new employee on his very first day (he already apologised to Amile by giving her a hello kitty plush).

"Ugmm.... n-nobody- Mr Calvin." Jackie stuttered out nervously, turning around and coming face to face with his masculine chest covered by a thick coat. Calvin raised an eyebrow but didn't press on, he instead starting looking through his bag- making jackie confused but relieved that he wasn't nosey. "Here, I'm sorry for my attitude today. I hope Ms  Julienne showed you the ropes?" He handed him a jar of peach jam, the younger man smiled softly.

"Thanks and yeah, Amile was very helpful." He placed the thick jar in his bag, turning back to his boss and smiling awkwardly. They stood their just staring at eachother, the snow covered floor and anything else really.

"The person who gave birth to me was a man, just so you know." Calvin suddenly said, which made jackie wide eyed but before he could respond Calvin was already walking away. He stood there with his mouth agape for several moments before he turned around and sped walk homed.

"Oh look who's finally here, i thought you got lost again." Alex said as the door swung up and shut, Jackie dropping his bag on the floor and taking off his snow covered jacket. " Why are you using a ghetto paper plate when we have actual ceramic plates?" He raised an eyebrow to his brother, I who is eating microwavable mac n cheese in a flimsy disposable plate.

"Hay man, don't diss my fine china okay? I didn't wanna wash any dishes." He brought the plate closer to his self, earning a eye roll from his older brother.
