Saturday
The sound of the front door closing makes me spring up from bed. I squint looking out the window where the sun is shining through. "I'm home!" Tyson yells outside my room door. I groan in response and I hear him laughing and then the sound of his door closing. I rub my eyes open and get out of the bed. I go downstairs and start making breakfast for my two hungover friends. Sizzle! The bacon starts popping and I move my hand back before it hits me. My mom whenever she was around taught me how to cook and it was always like a game we played when the bacon would pop to see where it would land and whoever got it closest got the crispier one. It's one of the only good memories I have of her. When she was a good mom and not on drugs. Or atleast it wasn't noticeable yet.
"I smell food." I turn to Lucas walking in the kitchen wiping his eyes.
I chuckle at the birds nest on his head. "Yes because I'm making you guys breakfast."
I feel him wrap around me. "And this is why you're the best." He says in my shoulder and I chuckle laugh.
"I take it your night went well?" I say with some insinuation.
He blushes and sways side to side. "It really was. We didn't have sex because we were both drunk but we were up all night talking about everything and anything. We already know everything about each other so there was no awkward like first date questions but just talking about our passions and what we want to do with our lives." He says with a sparkle in his eyes and I smile happily.
"I'm happy for you guys Lucas. I can tell you're happy."
He nods. "I am. So what about you?" I raise a brow. "If I remember correctly Sierra kissed you last night?"
I roll my eyes and start plating the food. "I don't even want to think about that."
"What happened?" He asks taking a seat at the island when I slide him his food.
I sigh. "I went to the den and she came after me and then she sat on my lap and it kinda sucked me in. Like it felt like old times when we'd sneak away down there and just make out. But realization hit fast and I shoved her off."
"Do you miss her?"
I shrug. "I don't know. I mean it was three years ago but she was the one person I told everything to and gave my all to. And then she just tossed it like it meant nothing." I say thinking back on our relationship. It was great. She was a part of our friend group but then we started dating and it's like everything changed. She started getting jealous when I'd be around Maira and that was before the whole kissing while drunk thing. And then she cheated and basically blamed me for it saying I wasn't giving her the attention she needed.
"Well you can miss the relationship when it was good but the majority of it was terrible Talia. I don't know how you kept up with it for so long." I shrug.
"Because love makes you do stupid crazy things." Maira says coming behind him and hugging him. I smile at my friends and grab her plate sliding it to her. "Thanks."
"Oh yeah like jumping in a pool in my clothes just so you don't feel alone even though everyone in the party was in there too?" Lucas says and she kisses him.
"Exactly." I cringe at their cuteness. "But he's right. Sierra was cool at first and then she fucked up. There's nothing to miss unless you want to get hurt again." I nod agreeing with my friends. "Besides what about Ms. Hottie?" She wiggles her brows and Lucas snickers.
"Sssh we can't talk about that here!" I whisper yell and they look at me confused. "Tysons here and if he even thinks I have something going on with Romano he'll report it."
