As days passed and weeks turned into months, the once quiet Hatake house became a lot more lively. The halls, which had been so still, were now filled with laughter and playful chatter as the two kids grew closer and started to enjoy each other's company.

Sakumo hadn't expected his quiet home to change so much, but he adjusted quickly. At first, he wasn't sure how to handle things with Hiromi around, but it soon felt natural. He was kind and patient with her, making sure she felt at home, just like his own son. More than just caring for her, he wanted her to feel safe and like she truly belonged.

Kakashi took his time getting used to having Hiromi around, though he'd never admit it. He acted like the typical older brother, always teasing her about something—her messy hair, or how clumsy she could be. But underneath all the teasing, he actually cared.

He'd act like it was nothing, but he'd walk her home without saying a word, make sure she was never left out, and quietly keep an eye on her. Even if he didn't say it outright, Kakashi cared about her in his own way, and she knew it.

He'd challenge her to little races around the yard or play with her, letting her win just to hear her laugh. When she got upset or frustrated, usually over something small like a scraped knee or a lost toy, he always had a way of making her smile again.

Hiromi adapted quickly, too. She grew to love Sakumo, seeing him as a kind and gentle father figure. She always felt safe and cared for with him. Whenever she was scared or upset, she'd run to him for comfort, and he always knew how to make her feel better with a warm smile or a soft word.

As for Kakashi, she looked up to him like an older brother. She admired the way he carried himself—cool, confident, and always a little mysterious. She loved the way he'd tease her, not realizing how much she secretly enjoyed the attention. To her, Kakashi was the perfect role model, and she adored him, even if she didn't always understand why he acted the way he did.

This morning, like many others, felt comfortable and familiar. The sun filtered through the curtains, casting soft light over the living room. A light breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers, a clear sign that winter had finally ended, making way for spring.

The pink haired girlwas already awake, sitting by the window with her legs tucked under her. She stared out at the flowers, watching them sway in the breeze. Her face lit up with a grin as the sunlight warmed her cheeks.

As Hiromi kept watching the flowers, she could hear the sounds of movement from the kitchen. Sakumo was already up, making breakfast. The aroma of miso soup simmering on the stove mixed with the smell of grilled fish and freshly steamed rice.

He carefully set out the dishes—small bowls of pickled vegetables, a tray of tamagoyaki, and a pot of steaming green tea. As he worked, he hummed softly to himself.

"Kakashi, Hiromi-chan, breakfast is ready!"

Hiromi's ears perked up at the sound of his voice, and she quickly jumped to her feet, racing toward the kitchen with a cheerful "Coming!"
