The streets of Konoha buzzed with life as the sun climbed higher, filling the village with warm light. Vendors called out their goods from bright stalls, their voices mixing with the chatter of people moving through the busy market.
Children laughed and ran through the crowd, dodging between adults as they hurried about their day. The smell of freshly baked bread and sizzling skewers filled the air, blending with the fresh, earthy scent of the nearby forest.
As the busy street buzzed with activity, Hiromi and Sakumo walked side by side, their fingers lightly intertwined. Hiromi's pink hair bounced with every step as she looked up at Sakumo with wide, eager eyes, her small hand clutching his finger tightly.
Ahead of them, a little flower shop stood between two bigger buildings, with shelves full of bright, colorful flowers. The sweet smell of fresh blooms filled the air, soft and nice. Hiromi's face lit up as they got closer, her violet eyes fixed on the pretty flowers in the window.
"Let's get something special today," Sakumo said warmly.
Hiromi's eyes lit up with excitement as she nodded eagerly, her little feet picking up speed toward the flower shop. She held onto Sakumo's finger tighter, her heart racing at the thought of picking out something beautiful.
"Wow, look at all the flowers, ojiichan!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.
The door's bell jingled as it opened, and the shopkeeper, a young man with long blonde hair, stood behind the counter, busy arranging a bouquet of flowers. "Welcome to Yamanaka Flower Shop! How can I help you today?" he said, not looking up from his task.
When he finally glanced up and saw Sakumo, his face lit up with a bright smile of recognition. "Hatake-san! It's been a while!" he exclaimed, his eyes warm with familiarity. "How have you been?"
Sakumo returned the smile, "Inoichi-kun! I've been well, just keeping busy. How about you?"
"Can't complain," Inoichi said, finishing up with another flower and placing it gently back in the vase. "Business has been great, especially with spring coming up. Everyone loves flowers around this time of year!"
Behind Sakumo, Hiromi leaned closer to the colorful display, her eyes sparkling with pure joy. "Wow, they're so pretty!" she said, her little finger gently touching a bunch of bright tulips.
Inoichi noticed Hiromi and smiled warmly, stepping out from behind the counter. He kneeled down to her eye level, his kind expression softening as he greeted her. "Well, thank you!" he said, his eyes twinkling with interest. "And who might this little flower lover be?"
"Hiromi!" she said happily, her big, toothy grin lighting up her whole face as she looked up at Inoichi. She raised her little hand and wiggled her fingers excitedly. "Hiromi is... um..."
She scrunched up her face, thinking hard about how old she was. After a moment, she held up her tiny fingers, counting them out loud. "One... two... three!" she announced with a proud little cheer, holding up three fingers like she'd just solved a big mystery.
