"Peiyi, come over here, Kexiang is here!" The class monitor waved to Qin Peiyi and smiled at Yan Keyou, saying, "Peiyi brought her boyfriend along, and I heard they're getting married by the end of the year."
Qin Peiyi had a stiff smile on her face as she nodded at Yan Keyou.
After a few years, Qin Peiyi had become even more beautiful, with her long, straight hair neatly tucked behind her ears, revealing her sweet face—a dream girl for every guy.
Who would've thought she ended up with Wu Weihao, and they were actually talking about marriage?
Standing in front of her, Yan Keyou suddenly felt that no matter how much she changed, she could never match Peiyi's femininity.
"Yan Ba? Is that really you?" The man next to Qin Peiyi exclaimed, unable to contain his surprise.
"Weihao," Qin Peiyi awkwardly tugged at Wu Weihao's sleeve, signaling him to be quiet.
"Uh—long time no see! I didn't expect you to change so much; I probably wouldn't have recognized you on the street," Wu Weihao said, looking Yan Keyou up and down with an appreciative glint in his eyes.
"It's fine, you haven't changed at all," Yan Keyou replied with a soft smile.
"Hahaha, I haven't played basketball in ages; it's a miracle I didn't get fat!" Wu Weihao chuckled. "You probably haven't played either, looking all womanly now. If you looked like this back then, I definitely would have accepted you."
Yan Keyou froze for a moment, and the air between her and Qin Peiyi suddenly felt tense, whispers starting to circulate around them.
"What are you talking about?" Yan Keyou raised her voice awkwardly. "What if my boyfriend hears and gets the wrong idea?"
"You have a boyfriend? Where is he? Parking?" The class monitor eagerly craned her neck toward the entrance.
"No, he didn't come," Yan Keyou shook her head, feeling guilty.
"Kexiang, do you really have a boyfriend?" Qin Peiyi asked, her eyes lighting up.
"Y-yeah, of course."
"The guy who's good enough for you must be amazing," Qin Peiyi said, smiling reassuringly.
"Uh—yeah—" Yan Keyou looked away, giving a vague response.
"Come on, tell us what kind of guy he is; I'm really curious!"
"Yeah, spill it!"
"Call him over! We all want to see him."
Her curious classmates bombarded her with questions.
"He's busy." D*mn it, why was she lying like this?
"No matter how busy he is, he should at least come to the reunion with his girlfriend, right? What important business is he doing that he can't spare a weekend? He's not just someone who can't bring himself out, is he?" Wu Weihao teased.
"That's not true! He's the president of a big company and just happened to fly to the U.S. for a meeting, so he couldn't come with me. He really wanted to be here," Yan Keyou insisted.
"President? Wow, he must be loaded!" one of the female classmates exclaimed.
"Ha, rich people are either bald or have big bellies. Yan Ba, you're not with him just for the money, are you?" Wu Weihao shot her a doubtful look.
Seriously, was he trying to goad her? Yan Keyou cursed under her breath, suppressing the urge to punch him, and forced a fake smile. "You guessed wrong again. He's not just handsome; his body is model-level! I was worried if I brought him, it would make you feel inferior."
