Sigh, who would've thought that after scrimping and saving for most of my life, barely daring to shop at department stores, my first luxury purchase would be for a "fake boyfriend" who has nothing to do with me?

The more Yan Keyu thought about it, the more upset she felt. She sat on the comfortable sofa, gulping down the sparkling water the clerk had graciously offered, trying to get as much out of it as she could.

This guy better look decent after the makeover, or she'd be at a huge loss.

"Alright, miss, how does this look?" The clerk's polite inquiry came from behind her just as Yan Keyu took another sip of water.

She reflexively turned towards the voice, only to be so shocked that she nearly choked on her own saliva, coughing uncontrollably.

"Miss, are you okay?" the clerk asked with concern.

"I'm—cough—cough—fine—cough," Yan Keyu wiped the tears from her eyes caused by the coughing and focused on the transformed Tao Jiajin.

In front of her, he was wearing a charcoal gray suit, his upright figure the perfect clothes hanger, as if the outfit was tailor-made for him, fitting him perfectly.

She had hardly seen any man wear a suit so sharply and handsomely, with an innate aristocratic aura that even international male models would envy.

"This gentleman really suits our clothes. Anything looks good on him, but I picked out the two best outfits for him. What do you think?" The clerk praised Tao Jiajin enthusiastically.

"Uh—pretty good." Pretty good? More like incredibly handsome—never mind the face still looking like a bearded vagabond.

"Shall the gentleman try on the other outfit for you?" the clerk suggested.

"No need." She had confidence in him; it shouldn't be much different.

"So, these two outfits then?" the clerk asked with a beaming smile.

"Yes, how much for these two?" This was the main event.

"Let me see." The clerk checked the tags, went to the counter, punched some numbers into a calculator, and smiled, "Two hundred and forty-seven thousand."

What the hell, Yan Keyu barely suppressed her shock, forcing a stiff smile as she repeated, "Two hundred and forty-seven thousand?" Please tell her she misheard an extra zero.

"Yes." The clerk nodded affirmatively, shattering her hopeful fantasy.

D*mn it! She really hated her big mouth. Why did she have to lie about having a CEO boyfriend?

"What's wrong?" Tao Jiajin observed Yan Keyu's reaction, almost hearing her internal curses and wails.

"Nothing." She squinted with a fake smile, pretending to assess him, "Actually, I think this suit gets boring after a while."

"Really? I don't think so. This suit looks really good on this gentleman," the clerk said, puzzled.

"Look here, it's not smooth at all, and this color makes his complexion look even duller," Yan Keyu nitpicked.

"Then... let me pick another one for him," the clerk quickly suggested.

"No need, I'll decide after seeing him in casual wear." She smiled and turned to Tao Jiajin, "Could you please change?"

Tao Jiajin shrugged indifferently and headed to the fitting room.

As soon as he disappeared behind the door, Yan Keyu quickly walked to the counter, took out all her credit cards, and placed them on the table, awkwardly saying, "Forget the suit, can the casual outfit be split across three cards?"
