"Then why was she all over you?" she immediately questioned.
"Because..." He paused, a mischievous smile playing on his lips, "If you admit you like me, I'll tell you."
"You—" Yan Keyu couldn't help but stomp her foot, "Fine, don't tell me, I don't want to know anyway." Yeah right, she was dying to know.
"Alright then, I'll head back." He nodded, turning to leave.
Was he really leaving?
Yan Keyu watched his tall figure walk away, holding out until his hand was on the doorknob before finally giving in and shouting, "Tao Jiajin!"
His eyes twinkled as he turned back, feigning innocence, "Something else?"
"Then why did you come to see me?" she countered.
Not expecting her to throw the question back at him, he was momentarily stunned, then smiled, "I think it's because..."
"Because of what?" Her hand unconsciously clutched at her chest.
Tao Jiajin gazed deeply at her, "I think I've fallen for you." Indeed, her straightforwardness and kindness had easily captured his heart, so when he realized she'd seen him with Zhu Yatong, he was desperate to chase after her and explain everything.
His confession made Yan Keyu feel like she was soaring from hell to heaven, tears welling up again.
"Is what you're saying true?" she asked, her lips trembling.
"I swear on my life, if there's even a hint of a lie, may I be struck—"
"Stop it." She rushed forward, covering his mouth with her hand, "What would I do if something happened to you?"
He took her hand, gently moving it away from his lips, and gazed at her tenderly, "Does this mean you like me too?"
Blushing, she shyly nodded.
"I want to hear you say it." He lifted her chin, speaking softly.
Looking into his deep, dark eyes, Yan Keyu's heart felt enveloped in sweet honey, filled with a happiness she'd never known.
"Alright, alright, I like you, is that good enough?" she said, using a brusque tone to hide her embarrassment.
How could he not understand her?
Tao Jiajin smiled slightly, leaning in to whisper, "Of course it is." Then he covered her lips with his, kissing her deeply.

It's amazing, is this what being in love feels like? Just thinking about him made the corners of Yan Keyu's mouth lift uncontrollably, everything seemed to sparkle, and the whole world became beautiful.
"Big sis, what's this?" Yan Kexiang asked incredulously, looking at the toast and hot milk on the table.
"Breakfast," she replied happily.
"You made it?" His eyes widened even more.
"Yeah, I'm the big sister, after all, I should take some responsibility," she said with a smile, wiping the living room table with a cloth.
"Oh my god, sis, you're actually doing housework?" This was something that never happened before.
"What? Is it that surprising?" Yan Keyu shot her brother a look.
"No, not really, it's just that you look especially pretty today," Yan Kexiang quickly sat down to enjoy the rare "sister-made breakfast," feeling touched even though the bread was a bit burnt.
