'Yes! I got a job!' I cheered inwardly, feeling proud of myself as I left the restaurant with some money in my pocket. The cool night air brushed against my face as I wandered through the village, searching for a motel to stay in. I was about to turn down a street when something caught my eye-Lloyd, standing in front of a candy store.

He was arguing with the owner, demanding some candy with that determined look in his eyes. I sighed, pausing in my steps. 'Should I help him...?' I thought, knowing I could just walk away and let him handle it on his own. After all, he was strong and independent, even as a kid.

But something stopped me. I turned back, watching him for a moment. 'Of course I have to help him... I created his story this way,' I reminded myself. I knew all too well the struggles he would face-growing up in Darkley's, the loneliness, the pressure of becoming the Green Ninja, and all the battles that lay ahead for him. He had endured so much already, and it wasn't going to get easier.

Taking a deep breath, I walked over to him, standing beside him. "Hey, Lloyd," I said softly, my voice cutting through the tension. "How about I get you some candy?"

He looked up at me, surprised at first, then skeptical. "Why would you do that?" he asked, crossing his arms.

"Let's just say... I know a little about what you're going through." I gave him a small, understanding smile. "Consider it a small favor. And besides, everyone deserves a break sometimes."

I handed the cash to the candy store owner, exchanging it for a bag of candy. Without saying much, I gently grabbed Lloyd's hand and led him away from the store. We walked a short distance to a quieter spot beside his school, a place I knew was near a campus. Once we stopped, I placed the bag of candy in his hand and smiled softly.

"There you go," I said, kneeling to his height. "You can have this candy, and here's some extra money for you to buy whatever food you want."

Lloyd stared at me, his expression frozen in surprise. He glanced down at the candy, then at the money I held out to him. It was as if he didn't know how to process the kindness being offered to him-something I suspected didn't happen often for a boy in his position.

"Why are you doing this?" Lloyd finally asked, his voice quieter than before, the tough exterior starting to fade just a little.

I smiled at him, understanding what he was going through. "Because I know how hard things can be. And sometimes, everyone could use a little help, even if they don't ask for it."

Lloyd's eyes softened for a moment, but he quickly tried to hide it, stuffing the money in his pocket and clutching the candy. "Thanks..." he mumbled, glancing away, almost embarrassed.

I stood up, watching him for a moment. "Take care of yourself, Lloyd," I said gently, knowing the path he would have to walk was just beginning. As I turned to leave, I couldn't help but feel the weight of the story I had created, and the role I would now play in it.

'Now, I need to find a motel...' I thought to myself, scanning the area as I walked. After a bit of wandering, I found a modest-looking motel on the outskirts of the village, not too far but not exactly close either.

I stepped inside, greeted by the creaky wooden floor and the musty smell of an old building. Approaching the front desk, I asked the landowner if I could stay for a while.

The Land Lord, a middle-aged man with a tired expression, looked me up and down, clearly hesitant. "You're pretty young to be renting a room, kid. You sure you can afford it?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

I nodded confidently. He sighed, and after a brief moment, quoted the price. Without a second thought, I pulled out the money I had earned from the restaurant earlier. Carefully counting it, I realized I had just enough to stay here for ten days. "I can only stay for ten days..." I murmured to myself as I handed him the cash.

The Land Lord raised an eyebrow but took the money without question, handing me a room key. "Room 3, down the hall. Keep it quiet in there."

I thanked him and headed down the hallway, feeling a small sense of relief that I had at least secured a place to sleep for now. As I unlocked the door to my room, a new thought crept into my mind.

'Ten days... what will I do after that?'

I tucked the money into a secure spot before heading to the bathroom. The warm water felt refreshing as I washed off the day's exhaustion, taking a moment to clean my shirt as well. Once I was done, I put on the spare shirt the motel had left in the room, draping my wet clothes outside to dry.

'Done... Now I need to rest...' I thought, feeling a wave of fatigue hit me. With a big yawn, I crawled into the bed, the sheets feeling soft against my skin. My eyelids grew heavy as I slowly drifted off to sleep, letting the day's events slip away into the quiet darkness of the night.

I woke up early, stretching as I sat up in bed. The morning light filtered through the curtains, reminding me of the new day ahead. Grabbing my still damp shirt, I used my heat ability to dry it while heading to the bathroom for a quick shower. When I finished, I checked my shirt, and it was perfectly dry.

After dressing, I carefully took some money from the secure spot and hid the rest again, just to be safe. 'Alright, time to work,' I thought, slipping the key into my pocket and locking the door behind me. The cool morning air hit my face as I made my way back to the restaurant, ready for another day.
