~LucasV point of view~
The Ninja decided to focus on Lloyd, lifting him off the ground and holding him in front of the crowd. I could barely hear their conversation through the rising tide of my concern for him. I followed them at a distance, my heart sinking as I saw them hanging Lloyd from the sign outside Today Baby shop. 'Can't they treat him right?' I thought, frustration bubbling up inside me at how they were handling him.
"Whoa! You just made me your nemesis!" Lloyd exclaimed, trying to play it off as a joke, but the laughter of the villagers stung my heart. I clenched my fists, wishing I could intervene without altering the course of events. "Mark my word, you will pay for this!" he continued, his voice filled with mock bravado.
As I watched, Zane bought some candy and shared it with the rest of the Ninja, taking a piece for himself. 'I should buy some spare candy for Lloyd.' I thought, feeling a surge of determination. I quickly made my way to the candy stand, paying the owner and receiving two packs of candy in return. I bowed slightly in thanks as he smiled, then turned my attention back to Lloyd, who was still in the Ninja's clutches.
With the candy safely tucked away in my pocket, I observed the group as they removed their hoods, laughing and joking amongst themselves. I tried to ignore their banter, focusing instead on waiting for them to leave so I could help Lloyd.
Once the Ninja finally departed, the villagers resumed their daily activities, providing me with the perfect opportunity. I quickly climbed up the sign to reach Lloyd, carefully bringing him down to the ground. He looked at me, surprise evident on his face.
"LucasV, what are you doing?" Lloyd asked as he landed softly beside me.
"Well, helping my friend, of course," I replied with a smile, taking his hand and giving him one of the candy packs. He stared at it, bewildered.
"Wait, is this for me?" Lloyd asked, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Of course! I figured you could use a pick-me-up," I said, brushing off the trash from his clothes. I hesitated, wanting to tell him about my plan to leave, but the words caught in my throat. 'I want to tell him that I will be leaving...' I thought, feeling a mix of sadness and uncertainty. Instead, I forced a smile, trying to focus on the moment we had now.
I watched as Lloyd smiled happily at the candy I had given him, a tiny blush creeping onto his cheeks. My heart ached at the sight; he was so innocent and full of life. "Hey... Lloyd..." I started, and he turned to look at me with curiosity shining in his eyes.
"What is it, LucasV?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.
I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of my next words. "I'm leaving the village..."
His expression shifted to one of surprise and then sadness, and my heart twisted painfully. "W-what...? You're leaving?" His face fell, and I could see the hurt in his eyes.
"Yes, Lloyd..." I replied softly, feeling his grip tighten around my right hand.
"Then... how can I find you again?" he asked, doing his best to hold back his sadness. The question hit me hard, and I could only smile sadly in response.
"The necklace that I gave you... it will help you find me," I explained, pointing to the necklace he wore, a gift I had given him on his birthday. "That necklace will start glowing when I'm nearby."
Lloyd's eyes lit up with hope as he looked down at the necklace. He held it up, watching as it shimmered with a faint glow, like a tiny star nestled against his chest. "Not only that, but we can still communicate with each other through that necklace," I added, touching the pendant gently.
As I did, a small screen flickered to life, displaying a simple interface. Lloyd's eyes widened in awe as he took in the sight. "You just need to touch your necklace to communicate with me, okay?" I instructed, watching him carefully.
Lloyd reached out and tapped his necklace, and the screen vanished. He looked back at me, a mixture of relief and excitement on his face. Then, without warning, he threw his arms around me in a tight hug. I was taken aback for a moment, but then I hugged him back, feeling the warmth of his small frame against mine.
"Promise me you'll be okay, LucasV," he whispered, his voice muffled against my shoulder.
"I promise, Lloyd. Just take care of yourself, alright?" I replied, hoping my words would bring him some comfort.
He nodded against me, and I could feel the determination in his grip. As we held each other, I knew that even though I was leaving, a part of me would always be with him. And with that promise, I hoped we could find our way back to each other someday.
I smiled at him for the last time, the image of his hopeful face etched in my mind as I slowly walked away from Jumagi village. Once I was far enough from the village, I revealed my wings, feeling the surge of power within me as I took to the skies, soaring toward Ninjago City. My heart felt heavy with the weight of our parting, but I knew I had to continue my journey. 'Goodbye...' I thought, glancing back one last time before focusing on the path ahead, using my abilities to locate Ninjago City.
~Lloyd point of view~
I watched LucasV as he walked away, each step pulling him further from me. His last smile lingered in my mind, a bittersweet reminder of the friendship we had forged. It made me feel a deep sadness that my only friend was leaving. As I looked down at the necklace LucasV had given me for my birthday, I felt a mix of emotions-anger and frustration swirling within me.
'Maybe... maybe if it weren't for those Ninjas...' I thought, my fists clenching as I felt rage bubbling up inside me. "Then LucasV would still be here with me."
The pack of candy he had given me lay in my hand, a small comfort in my grief. I popped a piece into my mouth, the sweetness momentarily distracting me from my anger. But it wasn't enough. I pulled out the map I had stashed in my pocket, my determination hardening like steel.
"I will destroy those pesky Ninjas," I vowed to myself, tracing the routes on the map. "They think they can just take my friend away from me? I'll show them what happens when they mess with Lloyd Garmadon!"
With my heart set on revenge, I stormed away from the village, my mind racing with plans and strategies to confront the Ninjas. They had no idea what was coming, and I was ready to unleash my fury on anyone who stood in my way. No longer just a boy looking for approval, I was determined to prove my strength and make them pay for their role in LucasV's departure.
"Time to show them who I really am," I muttered under my breath, setting off in the direction of the tomb, where I would begin my quest for power and vengeance. My journey had just begun.
