Zara woke up early, her heart fluttering with excitement. She still couldn't believe she was finally going to attend university, the place she had dreamed of for so long. Her mind raced as she thought about her classes, her future classmates, and the possibilities that lay ahead.

She swung out of bed, grinning, her thoughts still lingering on Ibrahim's unexpected kindness the night before. She could still feel the warmth of his hug and the weight of the envelope he had handed her—the ticket to her dreams.

The anticipation of what was to come filled her with energy as she quickly got ready. As she tied her dupatta, she thought about her journey so far.

Escaping her parent's oppressive home was supposed to be her salvation, but being thrust into Ibrahim's world had been overwhelming. Yet, his act of enrolling her in university had softened something inside her. Maybe, just maybe, this life would be different.

Nancy knocked on her door, breaking her daydreaming. "Madam, are you ready? We have a lot to do today," she said, smiling warmly. Nancy, who had been more of a silent observer, seemed pleased to see Zara happy for the first time since her marriage.

Zara nodded, grabbing her purse. "I'm ready," she replied, her voice bright with excitement.

They drove into town, and Zara's eyes sparkled as they passed by the various shops. It had been a long time since she'd gone shopping, let alone for something as special as starting university.

The weight of her previous worries and fears seemed to lift as she scanned through racks of clothes and accessories, her thoughts filled with nothing but excitement for the future.

Nancy helped Zara choose some casual outfits for her new life. "You'll need a lot of these," she said, holding up a simple yet elegant dress. "University life is busy, and you'll want to feel comfortable."

Zara laughed, feeling a sense of sanity in her life that she hadn't experienced in so long. "I trust your judgment," she replied.

The day flew by as they checked off everything from notebooks to shoes. Zara felt herself relaxing into the idea that maybe she could carve out a life for herself here.

As they returned home, Ibrahim's face briefly flashed in her mind. She wondered what he thought about her new life. There were moments when he seemed kind, almost tender, but those moments were few and far between. Still, he had made sure she had a future. Maybe he wasn't as cold as he seemed. Or perhaps she was reading too much into his actions.

Meanwhile, in Ibrahim's Office

Ibrahim sat in his office, his fingers absently tracing the edges of the documents in front of him, his thoughts far from the business matters at hand. His mind kept drifting back to Zara. Her innocent excitement the previous night when she discovered her university enrollment had stirred something inside him.

He had never been one for emotional attachments, especially not after the death of his wife. But seeing Zara so genuinely happy, so filled with gratitude, had tugged at his usually impenetrable heart. He had no plans to get close to her—this marriage was more of a protective arrangement—but he couldn't deny the softening he felt around her.

He shook his head, clearing the thoughts away. He couldn't afford to let emotions cloud his judgment. His world was dangerous, filled with enemies and betrayals. He couldn't afford distractions. Yet, there was something about Zara—her resilience, her innocence—that made him feel like he needed to protect her, even from himself.

Just as he was about to focus back into his work, his phone rang. Seeing the name on the screen, a rare smile softened his features. It was his daughter, Sofia.

"Baba!" Sofia's excited voice filled the room the moment he answered. Her bubbly personality was a stark contrast to his usual stern demeanor, and yet, she was the light in his otherwise dark world.

"Sofia, my love. How are you? How's Barcelona?" Ibrahim's voice, which was usually cold and authoritative, warmed when he spoke to his daughter.

"It's amazing here, Baba! The university is great, the people are wonderful, and I'm learning so much! But I miss you. When are you coming to visit?"

Ibrahim chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "Soon, Sofia. Work is keeping me busy, but I'll find time to come. You know you're my priority."

"I know, I know," she replied, her voice softer now. "I just miss hanging out with you. You're the only one who doesn't make me feel small in this big world. You've always believed in me."

"I will always believe in you, Sofia. You're my pride." His voice was firm but filled with love. "You focus on your studies, and when you come back, we'll celebrate."

"Speaking of coming back," Sofia's tone shifted slightly, becoming playful, "I've heard some rumors. Is it true, Baba? Are you... married again?"

Ibrahim stiffened, not expecting the conversation to go this direction. His mind flashed to Zara, and the complexity of the situation hit him harder than expected. He took a breath before answering.

"Yes, it's true," he said slowly, choosing his words carefully. "It's a bit complicated, Sofia. But you'll understand when you meet her."

"Meet her?!" Sofia's excitement was evident. "Tell me all about her! What's she like?"

Ibrahim hesitated, unsure how to describe Zara. How could he explain to his daughter that this marriage was a matter of protection, not love? "She's... young. Quiet. She's been through a lot, and I'm just trying to help her."

Sofia's voice softened, understanding creeping into her words. "You're always helping people, Baba. That's what makes you so special. I can't wait to meet her."

Ibrahim's chest tightened at her words. He had never seen himself as "special." Ruthless, maybe. Powerful, definitely. But hearing those words from Sofia, the person he loved most in the world, made him feel like maybe he could be more than just the feared man everyone else saw.

"I'll let you know when she's ready to meet you," he said finally, his voice thick with emotion. "For now, focus on your studies. I'll handle everything here."

"Okay, Baba. I love you."

"I love you too, Sofia."

As the call ended, Ibrahim felt a strange mix of emotions. He loved his daughter fiercely, but the thought of her meeting Zara stirred something protective in him. He wasn't sure what kind of relationship would form between them, but he knew one thing for certain—he would protect both of them, no matter what.

He stood up and glanced out the window, his gaze falling on the garden below. The world outside seemed calm, but he knew danger lurked in every corner. His life was not one of peace, and now, with Zara and Sofia in the picture, he would have to be more vigilant than ever.

With a sigh, he straightened his jacket and headed downstairs. There was work to be done, but his mind kept drifting back to Zara, and the fragile new life they were both stepping into.
