The morning light filtered softly through the curtains as Zara stirred, her body relaxed and content from the peace of a romantic days spent with Ibrahim. The events from the previous days still lingered in her heart—the gentle moments, the unspoken emotions, and the undeniable connection that had blossomed between them.
She opened her eyes slowly, her gaze falling on Ibrahim, who lay next to her, his breathing soft and steady.
A smile played on her lips as she turned to face him, admiring his strong jawline, the way his eyelashes brushed against his skin, and the calmness that emanated from him even in his sleep. Her heart swelled with affection, and she felt a surge of warmth at the realization that, for once, she wasn't caught in the whirl of uncertainty. Today, she was simply his wife—loved, wanted, and cherished.
Gently, Zara leaned closer, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. Ibrahim stirred, a lazy smile curling on his lips as he opened his eyes to meet hers. "Good morning," he whispered, his voice husky from sleep, his hand reaching out to pull her closer.
"Good morning," Zara replied softly, burying her face against his chest, breathing in his scent. The morning felt perfect—no barriers, no awkwardness, just the two of them in the serenity of their growing bond.
"I don't want to get up today," she murmured, her voice filled with contentment.
Ibrahim chuckled, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "Neither do I, but the world awaits."
Zara sighed, her fingers tracing lazy circles on his chest. "Fine, but I'm holding you to that. Tonight, we stay in bed."
He grinned, pulling her even closer. "Deal."
Later that morning, after sharing a peaceful breakfast together, Zara prepared herself for university. Ibrahim had already left for his morning meeting, leaving her with a kiss and a playful reminder of the event they had to attend later. Zara's mind was occupied with the thought of meeting his distant family and making a good impression, but she shook off the nervousness. One step at a time.
At university, Zara met her friend Ayesha and caught up on the latest gossip after attending lectures. The campus buzzed with the usual chatter of students, but Zara's mind kept drifting back to her morning with Ibrahim. The way he looked at her, the way he made her feel like the only woman in the world—it filled her with a sense of pride and happiness that was hard to shake.
After her last class, Zara stepped out of the university building, expecting to see the family driver waiting for her as usual. But he wasn't there. She checked her phone for any messages, but there were none. Frowning, she waited for a few more minutes, hoping he was just running late.
Suddenly, a sleek, black Mercedes G-wagon rolled up in front of her, followed by several other expensive cars. The sight of the convoy made her heart skip a beat, and she instinctively took a few steps back. The G-wagon moved forward as well, mirroring her steps, and a knot of unease tightened in her chest. Who were these people? And why were they here?
She glanced around nervously, her pulse quickening. The windows of the G-wagon were tinted black, making it impossible to see who was inside. Zara's frustration built as the door of one of the cars behind the G-wagon opened, and a man stepped out. He was tall, dressed in a sleek black suit, and had an air of authority about him.
