Lonely thou art

lonely thou art and the moon weeps for thee
my love for thee like ship tossed by the sea
hoping and dreaming like a strong oak tree
Like a muted bird waiting to sing up free

How long it was, I've forgotten our love
to live my own fancy, I flew as dove
my love for thee as tower's high, lob
memory upholds thee, but loose like lamb

Our love began, and ending in a rush
you gave me scars, like rain its tears so rash
you leave me lone, in winter cold I gnash
As pouring rain my heart broke by its lash

My heart still dreams, asking why you left me
our memory keeping, but I don't see.
