"Haven't heard from your little 'stalking plan' for a minute. What ever happened to that?" Hyunjin asked a few minutes into the library. Of course both of them always took any opportunity given to not do anything school related.
"Huh?" Jisung seemed lost for a minute.
"You know, you said Lee was up to something?" He reminded him of that little conversation they had, one week ago.
Oh, yeah. Jisung couldn't have told them what happened in the Room of Requirement—mainly because it would mean revealing the room itself, and that wasn't in his plans. So he had dropped the subject of Lee altogether.
"You guys shamed me into not caring." Jisung answered jokingly.
"Yeah, I know. But I figured you'd do whatever you wanted to anyway, as usual," Hyunjin shrugged and went back to his homework. He didn't notice anything odd; he wasn't much of an observer.
"Hey! That's not like me at all," Jisung frowned, though he was just disagreeing to disagree. If he gave it two seconds of thought, he'd have to admit Hyunjin was right—he always did what he wanted, even when his friends warned him.
"That's exactly like you," Hyunjin shot back, not believing Jisung was denying it.
"It's not."
The argument spiraled into a childish back-and-forth. They didn't even remember what started it after a minute. It's important to remark, Chan was right next to them, he just mastered his ignoring skills at that point.
"Jisung, Hyunjin. Again?"
They suddenly stopped and turned to their librarian, who didn't even stress after years of them disrupting the peace at his library.
"Sorry, Jeongin." Jisung rolled his eyes.
"In my defense, Jisung is out here trying to deny he's not a stubborn bitch." Hyunjin pointed at him and then laughed, like he was being ridiculous.
Jeongin's eyes widened. "Please, Hwang. Watch your language," he sighed. Ever since the kids, as he called them, turned fifteen, they seemed to have discovered curse words, and they hadn't stopped using them around him. They didn't seem to grasp that he was supposed to be an authority figure.
"Common, Jeongin, no one's around. Relax." Hyunjin said, nudging him playfully, totally unbothered by Jeongin's frustration.
"Yes, and I'm concerned that's because you skipped class."
"Don't worry, Jeongin. I would never let that happen." Chan chimed in, with a happy smile.
Jeongin left, sighing in distress. They gave him gray hairs.
"Oh, my, god." Jisung laughed suddenly thirty seconds before the librarian walked away, like he realized something.
"What?" Hyunjin asked.
"You were totally flirting with Jeongin!" Jisung gasped dramatically at his own statement, and he heard Chan's pen breaking against his paper.
"I— I wasn't— That's— No!" Hyunjin stammered, unable to defend himself as Jisung broke into laughter. Chan gasped, utterly scandalized.
"Hyunjin!" Chan scolded him immediately. "He's basically a teacher! Are you insane?!"
"He's not! He's, like, only four years older..." Hyunjin pouted, crossing his arms like a child.
"You are basically admitting it." Jisung smiled, and then giggled. "Jeongin and Hyunjin, sitting in a tree—"
"SHUT UP!"
