"How would you woo someone older than you, hypothetically?"

Jisung blinked. "Are you asking me?" His voice dripped with skepticism. His friends knew better than to ask him for romantic advice.

"I was staring at you out of politeness," Hyunjin clarified, turning to Chan instead. "What do you think?"

"Tricky question," Chan mused, rubbing his chin. "But my take is, you should probably show them you're mature for your age."

Hyunjin nodded as if Chan had imparted some deep wisdom.

"First, ew," Selene cut in. "And second, can we stop pretending any of you know how to pull? It's kind of sad."

"Right, you're the one with the most insight here!" Hyunjin realized, and looked expectant. "Advice?"

"Where's that assumption coming from?" Selene frowned as if she was genuinely confused.

Hyunjin's eyes widened. "Uh..."

Jisung snorted.

"Anyway, my advice," Selene continued, as Hyunjin sighed in relief, unable to answer, "is maybe stop fixating on your school's librarian."

Hyunjin jumped in his seat. "Shhh! He's literally right there, psycho! Do you want to scream it louder?"

Selene stared blankly. "I literally did not. You are literally being louder right now."

Hyunjin ignored her comment, his tone more curious. "And how do you even know?"

Selene rolled her eyes. "You've been staring at him since we got here. Also, Ji told me."

"Mate!" Hyunjin kicked Jisung under the table.

Jisung kicked back. "I only said you're both gay!"

Hyunjin's eyes narrowed further. "Wait, hold on. You're sure he's gay?"

"Uh, yeah."

Hyunjin perked up, grinning. "That means I have a shot!"

"If he's a child predator, sure." Selene added dryly.

"Fingers crossed." Hyunjin sighed dreamily.

"Jesus..." Chan sighed. He clearly disapproved but had grown tired of scolding Hyunjin. It wasn't like Hyunjin had much of a chance anyway.

"Wait, when did you decide you were officially going after Jeongin?" Jisung asked, confused. Wasn't he denying this, like... oh, yeah. That was ages ago.

"Two weeks ago, man. Keep up." Hyunjin rolled his eyes. "Also, how did you get Jeongin to tell you he's gay? You didn't just ask him, right? Because that would totally expose me—"

"No, obviously not." Jisung shot him a look, trying to brush it off. He couldn't exactly explain that the conversation had come up while Jeongin was giving him advice from Minho. "It just... came up."

Hyunjin squinted suspiciously. "When did it—"

"Good morning, kids!" Jeongin's cheerful voice interrupted, startling Hyunjin so badly he dropped his pen.

"Hey!!" Hyunjin greeted back, a bit too loudly. "Oops, silly me," he chuckled nervously, bending down to pick up his pen. He stood up only to bump his head on the table, shrieking as his face flushed bright red. "I'm okay!"

Selene sighed, looking disappointed but unsurprised.

Jeongin blinked but, being the polite person he was, pretended not to notice. "Anyway," he said, placing a book about marine animals on the table. "Here's the book you asked for, Hyunnie."
