**POV:** Maya

The quiet of the night wraps around our home like a warm, protective embrace. Outside, the sky is a tapestry of stars, shimmering against the dark canvas of the universe. I sit by the window with Fenrir cradled in my lap. He is already one and a half, his eyes filled with the same sharp curiosity as his father's. Loki stands behind us, his presence a constant comfort and a reminder of the life we've built together.

"Loki, look," I whisper, pointing to the sky. Fenrir reaches out his small hand, his eyes wide with wonder.

Loki's gaze shifts from the window to our son. "He's growing stronger every day," he murmurs, his voice a mixture of pride and possessiveness. He moves closer, resting a hand on my shoulder. "He will learn to harness the power of the stars themselves."

I smile, leaning my head against his arm. "He will be everything we dreamed of."

Loki's eyes narrow slightly as he looks out into the night. "Yes," he replies, his voice low. "But we must be careful. There are those who would seek to harm him, to take away what is ours."

I glance up at him, feeling a knot of fear coil in my stomach. "But we're safe here, right? No one would dare come against us."

He crouches down beside me, his gaze capturing mine with an intensity that makes my heart skip a beat. "Never doubt it," he says firmly. "But we must always be vigilant. Our family is everything, and I will not let anyone take it from us."

I nod, reassured by the conviction in his voice. "I trust you, Loki. I trust you to keep us safe."

His expression softens, and he brushes a strand of hair away from my face. "And you will always be by my side, Maya. You and Fenrir are my world."

"Always," I echo, feeling the warmth of his words seep into my bones. There is a possessive edge in his tone, but it only makes me feel more secure, more certain that we are unbreakable.

Fenrir squirms in my lap, reaching up towards the stars. Loki's eyes follow his movement, a proud smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "He's strong," Loki says, almost to himself. "He has a fire within him."

"He gets that from you," I reply, glancing back at Loki.

He meets my gaze, his eyes darkening with something unreadable. "And from you," he counters softly. "Together, we will make him into something extraordinary."

I can only nod, my heart swelling with love for the two of them. The life we've created feels like a dream, one I never want to wake up from. "He is our legacy," I whisper.

"Our legacy," Loki agrees, his hand slipping to the back of my neck, pulling me close. He presses his lips to my temple, his breath warm against my skin. "And we will protect it at all costs."

"Yes," I breathe, feeling the fierce protectiveness in his words. "At all costs."

Loki shifts his gaze back to the stars, his eyes narrowing slightly. "There are whispers in the realms," he murmurs. "Words of those who do not understand, who fear what they cannot control."

A chill runs down my spine. "What do they say?"

"Nothing you need to worry about," he replies, his voice suddenly smooth and soothing. "Let me worry about the whispers. Your focus should be on Fenrir and on us."

"But if there's something—"

"Maya," Loki interrupts gently but firmly. "Do you trust me?"

I hesitate for only a fraction of a second. "Of course, I do."

"Then trust me to handle this," he insists, his eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that leaves no room for doubt. "We have worked too hard, sacrificed too much, to let others come between us."

I nod, swallowing the last of my apprehensions. "You're right. I'm sorry."

He cups my face in his hands, his touch surprisingly tender. "There is no need to apologize. You are a mother, a protector. It's natural to worry. But remember, I am here. I will always be here to ensure our family is safe."

I lean into his touch, feeling a wave of relief wash over me. "I know. And I'm here for you too, Loki. For whatever comes our way."

His gaze softens, and for a moment, I see something almost vulnerable in his eyes. "You are my strength, Maya," he says quietly. "Without you, none of this would mean anything."

I feel my heart flutter at his words, the sincerity in them wrapping around me like a warm blanket. "And you are mine," I reply, my voice equally soft.

He presses his forehead against mine, his eyes closing as if savoring the moment. "We are each other's," he whispers. "Always."

"Always," I echo, my voice steady with conviction.

Fenrir babbles something unintelligible, breaking the moment. We both look down at him, and Loki's face softens further as he reaches out to ruffle our son's dark hair.

"He will be great," Loki says, his voice carrying a weight of certainty. "And he will know that his greatness comes from the love and strength we have given him."

I smile, kissing the top of Fenrir's head. "He will know he is loved, above all else."

"Yes," Loki agrees, though there's an edge to his voice, a hint of something deeper. "And he will know that he is ours."

The possessiveness in his words sends a shiver through me, but I push it aside, telling myself it is simply his fierce love for our family. "He will always be ours," I assure him.

Loki's eyes meet mine, and for a moment, the intensity of his gaze is almost too much to bear. Then, slowly, he smiles—a smile that sends warmth flooding through me, chasing away the shadows.

"Yes, Maya," he murmurs. "He will always be ours."

We sit in silence after that, the three of us staring out at the stars. The night is quiet, the world outside our window at peace. Loki's hand remains on my shoulder, a constant reminder of his presence, his power, and his unwavering commitment to our family.

As I sit there, I feel a sense of calm settle over me. The whispers of doubt that occasionally flicker at the edges of my mind are silenced by the certainty in Loki's words and the warmth of his touch. We are a family, bound together by love and strength. There is nothing we cannot face as long as we stand united.

"Look at the stars," Loki says suddenly, his voice soft but commanding. "Do you see them, Maya?"

I nod, my eyes lifting to the sky. "Yes, they're beautiful."

He leans closer, his breath warm against my ear. "They whisper of eternity, of a love that defies the gods themselves. They speak of us."

I feel my heart skip a beat. "Us?"

"Yes," he whispers. "We are written among the stars, Maya. Our love, our family—it is eternal."

Tears prick at the corners of my eyes, and I lean into him, feeling the truth of his words seep into my very soul. "I believe you," I whisper. "I believe in us."

He wraps his arms around me and Fenrir, holding us close. "As you should," he murmurs. "Because this is our destiny. You, me, and our son. Forever."

I close my eyes, letting his words wash over me, feeling them settle into my heart. For in this moment, with the stars as our witness, I know that we are unbreakable.
