Chapter 23

Well it's Saturday today and my cousins were here first thing I saw in the morning when I woke up but there's this one cousin that I didn't get at all. When I greeted her she gave me the most meanest look ever but surely you do know that there's always that one cousin who has a problem with everyone. So Nelisa is the so called cousin, can this ceremony end already because I've heard it now.My mom told me to get ready quickly as there was something that needed to be done by me.I went into the bathroom to take a bath after 20 minutes I was done. As I came back I found Nelisa sitting on top of my bed eating an apple with a sharp knife.

"Nelisa what do you want here, you and eye don't see eye to eye so what makes you think that we will be friends" says Zamo

"I am here to warn you.You are not my cousin, the only people I know to be my cousins are Agape and the little boy you are just a leech that just want to extort money from my uncle. We were you for 2o years ago then this year you choose to reappear from nowhere, so listen here don't get too comfortable in my uncles' life. I'll expose you "says Nelisa

NARRATOR

Just when Nomzamo tried to say something Nelisa shut her mouth by putting the knife on her lips.Nelisa removed the knife away from her lips and took it by placing it on her left cheek.She started tracing the knife pressed hard on her lips to make sure that she leaves a deep scar. Nomzamo started feeling the pain put had to suppress her cries so that no one hears what's going on in that bedroom after that Nelisa told her to keep quiet by not telling anyone of the things that transpired in the room.Nomzamo was terrified but she quickly went to the bathroom to was the blood off her face, she didn't want to bother her parents about what just happened the only thing that was in that bathroom were to plasters that were enough to hide the cut.She didn't think that Nelisa would make the cut so deep.Everything was about her this weekend so she didn't let that hood rat get to her mind,she took her clothes for the day and wore them just as she was done her mother entered her bedroom telling Nomzamo that it was time for her to go where they were supposed to go to at first Nomzamo was hesitant but she ended up agreeing. One thing caught her mother's attention,she looked different than yesterday. She wondered why her daughter suddenly had a plaster across her face that got her worried instantly.

"Zamo what happened to your face. You were fine yesterday." says mom

"Mom it was just a mistake that happened when I was shaving my facial hair so the blade was too sharp to a point that it ended up cutting me deeper than I thought so there's nothing serious about this wound" says Nomzamo

"Let me see it then so that I stop worrying about you my baby" says mom

"okay mom(she removed the two patches of bandage and got terrified instantly, the cut was deeper than she thought.)" says Zamo

"This is a deep cut for now there's no time to ask what happened so I'm taking you to the hospital now to get someone to close up this wound to avoid infections.Here are the keys, go open the car and stay inside I'll be back I just need to talk to your father in a few minutes"says mom

Meanwhile in the bedroom

"Do you know what has been happening in this house, your daughter woke up with the deepest scar and she's refusing to tell me as to where did she get the scar.Infact I am lying when I was talking to her today telling her to get ready for today earlier in the morning she had no scar at all and to top it all she said that there was a cousin that gave her the meanest look ever and that is Nelisa "says mom

"You are just exaggeration, Nelisa wouldn't hurt my daughter like that, she's so sweet. She told me that Nomzamo is even beautiful so do you think she went to the lengths of ruining her face due to jealousy.She must have cut her face doing something else, it cannot be Nelisa it's unlike her to do such a thing and where is Zamo"says Dad

"I told her to go to the car, I'm taking her go a doctor so that he stitches her up to prevent any infections from feasting on her wound but you have to get to the bottom of this.I can't have my daughter suffer for someone's jealousy fix this!" says mom

meanwhile in the kitchen

" An old habit never dies right Nelisa, who gave you the right to do that to my daughter.Look I know you my sister's child but such behavior will not be tolerated from you who on earth died and made you the head of this family. So you a hood rat from nowhere who thinks they have made it in life has the right to go around carrying a knife scaring everyone's face.Who does that so Weskopies did nothing, still as crazy as before listen here if I ever hear that you made a move on my daughter I will not hesitate even one bit to take you back to that hell hole you came back from. Stay away from Nomzamo and mind your lunatic self"says Dad

"So this is how it's going to be around here that leech just arrived it's also not a few months since your long lost daughter was found and we are not even sure that she is your daughter.How sick is that uncle and let me tell you something I'm not crazy so I don't think Weskopies will do me good at the moment.
