What's it like in New York city?

"Lenn-" My mother started as she walked into my room before realizing i wasn't in there.

She grabbed her phone and dialled my number.

"Lennon! where are you" she asked

"Work"

"its a Monday at 9pm you would of told me if you had to work late"

"okay fine I'm not at work" 

"So where are you? do you have your noise cancelling headphones? are you okay?" 

"I'm at the airport yes i have my headphones and yes I'm okay" 

"Why are you at the airport?!?!" 

"Addison's flight lands in a few minutes"

"Ah right, you could of told me at least!" 

"sorry" i giggled

"Its fine just be safe okay? come home to me yeah?" 

"I will mom, promise"

"Good, Love you Bean" 

"Love you too Mama" 

I hung up the phone and sat in a chair in the airport waiting for the announcement that Addison's flight had landed. I sat there on my phone being careful that i wasn't sitting beside anyone considering it was just basic protocell for an off duty officer carrying a weapon, but it also helped with my anxiety and the noise.

I had my nose cancelling headphones in so i didn't hear the announcement, but after a minute i looked up from my phone and spotted Addison walking toward me. i pulled the headphones out and ran toward her "ADDIE!" 

"Woah, Hey Lemon" She laughed putting her arm around me and steadying us both after i almost barrelled her over.

"Hi!" i giggled bouncing up and down her arm still around my waist.

"Someone's exited huh?" 

"Yeah!!, you wanna have a sleepover for the night so you dont have to try and find your apartment so late your first day here?" 

"Ooh, of course" she smiled letting go of me.

I grabbed her hand and dragged her out the airport, she was pulling her suitcase beside her as we went.

an hour later i dragged her through my front door "MOM" I yelled

"Jesus Leo yeah?" She called from the kitchen

"Addison's here" I smiled dragging Addison into the kitchen.

"ah Hi Addison, I'm Alina Hawksley Lennon's mother" my mom smiled

"Nice to meet you Alina im Addison" she smiled.

"Addison's having a sleepover" i announced as i dragged her into my room

"okay!, be in bed by twelve yeah?" 

"Yeah" i called back.

i changed and sat on my bed, Addison also got changed and sat beside me "I like your room" she smiled

"Thank you" i smiled back.

she looked around until her eyes focused on a polaroid of me and my sister "That's your sister I'm guessing?" 

I nodded "Yeah, she was your age actually" 

"oh Nice" she smiled

"Yeah, mom doesn't like talking about her though" i sighed

"why?"
