A couple months had passed and it was just after Christmas now, the snow covering new York the air cold and cloudy when you breathed.
I was in my Livingroom dancing around to my Christmas song playlist the necklace Addison had given me for Christmas sitting around my neck softly like it had been since Christmas morning when she gave it to me.
my dancing got interrupted by a knock on the door and i left the music playing throughout the house as i opened the door smiling up at Addison
"Hey, what's up?" i asked letting her in
"i- i have to go back to Seattle.." she started as she sat on the couch beside me.
"P-permanently?"
"No i- i mean yes? but no. it might be for a while b-but not permanently" She mumbled
"But i- why? when do you have to go i- i thought we could watch the new years count down together and-" i started rambling
"Derek died. i- i have to go deal with it all, all his stuff, all my old stuff, the houses" she sighed
"Oh Addie" I whispered wrapping my arms around her
"Its okay, it happened a while ago i just- I've been putting it off but it needs to be done before it breaks me"
i nodded softly " Are you sure? why didn't you tell me?"
"Because i dont really care honestly i mean- we were married for nine years but i- i wasn't ever really in love with him. and now that i am i- its making me realise i never loved him seriously"
"wait you- y-your falling in love with me?"
she nodded "i- yeah. i am Lemon im falling really hard"
"i- im falling hard for you t-too"
"really?"
" really"
"i uh, i noticed you had music on?" she asked
" yeah i was dancing before you got here" i chuckled
"dance with me?" I added as i stood up
She smiled and followed me to the middle of the Livingroom.
i wrapped my arms around her neck over her shoulders her hands on my hips as we gently swayed to the music "When uh, when do you have to leave?" I asked.
"Tomorrow, my flights at 5am" she sighed
i put my head on her shoulder gently as we swayed side to side, "one last sleepover?"
"Gladly" she whispered kissing me gently
I kissed her back before resting my head against her chest as we continued to dance softly to the Christmas themed music in the background.
That night we were curled in my bed holding onto each other tightly not knowing how long it would be until we saw each other again.
"Just promise you'll stay in contact?" I sniffled
"Leo I promise" she said softly as she sat up and looked down at me
"What?" i giggled as she moved my hair off my face her eyes locked on mine.
"wanna spend the whole night making out line teenagers again?"
"Mhm...... let me think about it"
"LEMON!" She pouted
"hmm.. okay yes" i laughed
