Paper Rings

i walked through the hospital on my break and too Addison's office, "Put this on" i said throwing a paper ring at her.

she jumped and turned to me as she caught it "A paper ring?"

"Like the Taylor swift song, i thought it can be a little substitute until the actual ones get here"

"Awh its Adorable" She smiled putting it on her finger and kissing me softly

~flashback to two weeks earlier~

"Ready?" Addison asked as she walked into the bedroom in her long tight black dress

"Yeah" i smiled standing up, i was wearing a new dress it was dark blue short and skin tight with black lace around the edges.

she took my hand and we drove to a restaurant, we had decided to have a date night since if you think about it we had honestly never been on a proper date.

Addison Lead me up to the rooftop of the restaurant, it was all set up for the two of us. fairy lights, music, candles, and a table.

"You did all this for me?" I asked in awe

"Of course, come here" She said pulling me closer as the music started playing. Lover By Taylor swift filling the air around us as we swayed.

"I Love you" i said softly my eyes full of love

"I love you too" she replied a little smirk on her face.

with that she brushed my hair off my face "Lennon Jo Hawksley" she started

"Addie" I gasped my eyes filling with tears.

"Will you marry me? I dont have the rings because they haven't arrived yet but-" 

"Yes yes and yes ill marry you" i sniffled kissing her deeply as my tears started to fall.

~end of flashback~

I smiled and kissed her back, "i was thinking we call my mom tonight and tell her?" i asked

"Yeah we can if you want too, i should be home around 7" She smiled 

"yeah okay that would be like 9:30am for her so that'll work" i smiled

"See you tonight, love you" 

"Love you too adds" i said softly as i left. 

I went home and sat on the couch smiling at the paper ring on my finger. it was real, me and Addison were actually engaged.

Addison got home later that night and we called my mom

"Hey mom!" i smiled as she answered the phone 

Addison was beside me on the couch her hand on my leg softly.

"Hey Leo!, how are you?" 

"I'm okay, but me and Addison wanted to talk to you" i giggled

Addison smiled at me softy "you say it" i said to her.

"mh and what is it you two want to tell me huh?" My mom asked

I grinned as Addison started talking "Well... were engaged" 

"oh my god, congrats you two! my babies getting married!" my mother exclaimed

"Yeah" i smiled leaning my head on Addison's shoulder her hand still on my thigh.

"Okay well, i have to go to work but ill be there for the wedding i promise. I love you both! and congratulations!" my mom smiled

"Thank you!!" i smiled as the call ended.
