Keaton walked through Route 19 and used the time to test out Roto. "Roto. You're a sentient Pokédex, right? Can you tell me about Shade then?" Asked the boy as he trudged the path while Shade sat on his right shoulder.

"Of courzzze! Leave it to me, Keaton, my boy!" Roto chimed before swiftly hovering in front of Shade. His mouth was replaced with information and a picture of a Zorua as he explained in a "Pokédex-like" voice: "Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokémon. Zorua hides its true form by changing its shape into people and Pokémon, and loves to surprise people."

Roto's grin reappeared and he added intellectually, "Shade has a naughty nature, has two egg moves, and has its kind's signature ability, Illusion!" The Rotom Dex gathered all that info from briefly scanning Shade which impressed Keaton.

Shade raised a brow. "Really? I have my mother's ability. I should've guessed I did but I never tried it out," she then smirked slyly and pressed her cheek against Keaton's face while snickering. "Whaddya think~? Should I try it out, Master~?" She asked with a teasing tone in her voice.

Keaton sighed softly and shrugged his shoulders. "Go ahead, Shade. But you better not do anything weird or you'll be in a chokehold before you can even blink..."

Shade leaped off Keaton's shoulder. "Alright, I'll give it a shot~. Feast your eyes, Master~! Watch me transform~!" She used her Illusion ability to take the form of Bianca which caused the Pokémon Trainer to stare at her with an annoyed expression.

"Didn't I just say don't make it weird, Shade-" Keaton was cut off by Shade grabbing onto his arm and snickering.

Shade dramatically said, "M-My hero! Thank you soooo much for the Fresh Water! I could've died of dehydration! Is there ANY WAY I can repay you~!?" She poked Keaton's cheek teasingly which caused the latter to scowl at his partner who tried to kiss his cheek multiple times.

"Stop that, you little brat! Didn't I just tell you not to do that!? It's weird, you little devil!" Keaton proclaimed while placing Shade in a headlock which caused the latter to giggle deviously as she tapped his arm rapidly.

"I give~! I can't believe you'd choke a lady~!" Shade chimed teasingly with a voice identical to Bianca's while she smirked widely. She enjoyed messing with her partner, especially if it made him embarrassed or annoyed. These were two emotions Keaton didn't show much.

Roto watched the two, amazed by the ability Shade possessed. "Wowzzzers! Shade's Illusion ability is amazing. It's said that Zorua needs to see its target to turn into whoever it needs. It seems like Shade is zzzomething special! All zzzhe needs izzz her memory to take on the form of someone. She's even capable of mimicking the voices of her targets too!? Your Pokémon sure izzz a special one, Keaton!"

Shade stood beside Keaton proudly after he released her from the fierce headlock which caused the latter to roll his eyes slightly. "Speaking of Pokémon, Roto, can you see what your database says about my other Pokémon?" Keaton asked. When the Rotom Dex nodded, he pulled a Poké Ball out of his pocket and tossed it in the air. "Rocco! Take charge!"

Rocco was released from the ball and landed in front of Keaton. "Gib?" The Pokémon turned around and looked at Keaton before becoming giddy and jumping at his trainer. "Gib! Gib!" The Pokémon suddenly bit Keaton's head but it didn't hurt at all. It seemed like Keaton showed Rocco how to control his bite force for the better. This left Keaton deadpanning instead of feeling any pain.
