A few hours later, Sarah and I finally returned to her house to pick out bikinis. She chose a blue sparkly one while I decided on the matching pink one.

"This is so cute of us!" I yelled as we looked at ourselves in the mirror. We threw on some shorts and shirts before grabbing Sarah's pool bag and getting in her car. The drive back to the country club consisted of more Taylor Swift with the windows down and our hair blowing all over.

The country club was abnormally quiet when we arrived, but I wasn't going to complain about the extra room. We selected two lounge chairs a few feet away from the pool, giving us the perfect amount of sun. Tanning lotion was applied, and towels were laid in place as we relaxed and discussed extremely important topics.

"So, you and Top?" I questioned while propping my sunglasses on my head. Sarah simply giggled in response. "And don't say it's nothing, because I saw how you two were in the hot tub."

"I don't know what it is. He is cute, I just don't know if I want a boyfriend." She explained, obviously overthinking everything.

"Then don't make him your boyfriend." I stated flatly. "You don't need to cuff him to kiss him. Just be single but keep him close. Personally, I see nothing wrong with that." I explained as I adjusted myself in my chair.

"Maybe. What about you? Any surfer boys got your eye?" Sarah asked. Okay. Maybe I had a type. I thought about everyone I had seen since i've gotten back, which I concluded was barely anyone.

"Um, not any that I can think of. I've also only been around Kelce, Topper, Rafe, and Carter, so I haven't really had the chance to scout out my options." I explained while thinking about who I thought was cute. I'd die before I told Sarah that Rafe had gotten hotter since the last time I saw him. She would probably cut my vocal cords out, which I would do the same if she ever called Carter hot. Gross.

"You could have Kelce, he's nice." She reasoned, obviously wanting me to have a relationship with someone in the friend group.

"I don't know. It's Kelce we're talking about. He's not exactly the most intelligent being."

"Yeah well you need to lower your standards because hot and intelligent don't exactly fall in the same category here." She said, causing both of us to laugh. We spent the next hour in silence, occasionally asking each other random questions. She asked about Georgia and if I got an accent while I was there, which I didn't, and I asked her if anything big had changed while I was gone. Apparently Big John Routledge had gone missing at sea, I remember him knowing my dad from high school. It was weird that someone could go out on a boat one day and never come back. She told me John B was okay though, and that he worked on her boat sometimes. I always liked the kid, he never caused any problems with me.

Another hour had went by, and we had finally gotten in the pool. The Carolina sun could cook you in about 30 minutes, so we had been sweating our asses off. After drying and laying out for a few more minutes, four shadows covered my line of sunlight.

"Um, excuse me? You're gonna give me Rafe and Carter shaped tan lines. So scram." I spoke while remaining my place.

"Keep talking to me like that and I'm gonna have Rafe throw you in the pool again." I heard my brother say, causing me to finally open my eyes. I slid my sunnies off my face as I examined their golf outfits: Topper in a green polo, Kelce in a pink one, Rafe in blue, and Carter in light purple.

"Awe, aren't you four just the cutest bunch in pastels!" I exclaimed, mocking my mothers very familiar voice.

"So you think I look good in pink is what I'm hearing." Kelce responded while pointing at himself.
