"Convince me to what?!" Came a voice from the front door.

Everyone turned their heads as their eyes widened. Hyunjin was standing near the door, his eyebrows furrowed. The air in the room thickened.

"H-ha, H-hyunjinn, how l-long have you been standing theree?" Min Seok stuttered trying to hide the shock in his voice.

"A while, but you didn't answer my question!" The male's voice deepened.

"W-what convince? H-ha who's convincing who? Y-you probably have mistaken, haha" Ji Ah said with a clearly fake laugh.

Hyunjin was definitely not having it. He sighed. "Look, if there is something you wanna tell me, say. Don't beat around the bush." He looked irritated.

Seiri seemed to have sensed the change of tone in her grandson's voice. She started walking towards him. She looked up at him patting her hands on his shoulder.

"Hyunjin dear.... Mind coming with me for a walk?" She asked softly.

Hyunjin sighed and grabbed her shaky hands as he led her to the garden. He was cruel and all. But he still loved his family...

"What is it grans?" His voice was serious. There was no space for anything else. He looked as if he was struggling to keep himself composed.. Like he'll blow up any second now.

"Hyuni, listen to me carefully alright?" She started assuring him. "Why don't you sit down.." She said pointing towards a garden bench.

They both sat down, Hyunjin ran his hands through his hair. Anyone could sense his distress.

"Are you okay son?" She asked in a very soothing voice.

"I don't really know grandma," He broke down, "It has been stressful lately, I don't know what to do.. " He sighed..

"I'm sure everything will turn out to be fine.., I believe in you.. " She reminded him.

"What is it that you wanna tell me?" He asked yet again serious.

"Please try to understand what I'm about to tell you ok.. Hyunjin.. We all have been noticing how much you're going through at the moment." She spoke calmly.

"What about that?" It was clear that he wasn't interested in this conversation.

"Honey, don't get mad.. But I think a mate could solve all your problems.. " She stated hesitantly.

Hyunjin chuckled, "Can a mate fix company problems? No! Can they fix my personal problems? No! Then what's even the point.. "

"That's what I'm saying, even if they won't be able to fix the company's problem or your underworld problems, they can help with cooling you down. Help you have a better mental health. Help you be happier than this...like before. Please.." Seiri begged.

"I don't think I'll be happy without solving any of these problems. Just a stupid mate won't do me any good.. It's just a stupid custom by my ancestors, why should I follow it!" He was going to loose it any moment.
