After two long hours of observation, Riya quietly approached the patient's bedside. She stood there for a moment, watching him, relieved to see his breathing steady. Just then, he began to stir. Slowly, his eyes fluttered, trying to open little by little, as if fighting to wake up from a heavy sleep.
When he finally opened his eyes and saw Riya, he immediately asked, "tum kaun hon or mein, kaha hu?" His voice was firm but filled with confusion. Riya stepped closer, trying to gently calm him. "tum hospital mein ho ,tumhe chot lagi thi par hamne tumhe bacha liya," she explained. He pushed himself up, looking around the room, trying to make sense of it all. Realizing he was in a hospital,
He looked at Riya and asked, "mera phone kaha hain?" Without hesitation, she went to search through his belongings and found it. Handing it to him, she watched as he unlocked the phone and immediately dialed a number, his expression serious as he waited for someone to answer.
A voice came through the phone, filled with concern:"bhai aap kaha ho , aap thik ho na" The man looked at Riya, his eyes questioning. "ye konsa hospital hain?" he asked. "Sunray Hospital," Riya replied softly. The man nodded and then spoke into the phone, "I'm at Sunray Hospital."
He slowly got up from his bed, still weak, and leaned closer to Riya. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice low and serious. Confused, Riya took a step back, her eyebrows furrowing. "What are you doing?" she asked, unsure of his sudden change in behavior.
"Giving you a present for saving my life," he said, his voice calm but intent.
Riya blinked, surprised. "What do you mean? I don't need any gifts, sir," she replied gently. "I just want you to rest for now." Her tone was firm but caring, as she tried to remind him of the importance of his recovery.
As she was leaving the room, he suddenly pulled Riya's hand, causing her to stumble and fall against him. Shocked, she quickly steadied herself and asked, "What are you even doing?" His gaze was steady as he replied, "If you don't want my present, then I'll give you something else—my protection.
Riya let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. "Your protection?" she said, incredulously. "Just a few hours ago, you were close to death, and now you're talking about protecting me? Don't dream, sir. I think this attack might have affected your brain." Her tone was light but with an undercurrent of concern, reflecting her disbelief and care
Sneha couldn't hold back her laughter, her eyes twinkling with amusement as she asked, "Riya, what are you doing?"
Caught off guard, Riya quickly pushed the patient away and got off the bed, her face flushed with embarrassment. The patient's brother looked on, equally stunned. He couldn't believe his eyes—his brother, who had never shown any interest in women before, was now in such a close, unexpected moment.
Both Riya and Sneha hurried out of the room, their laughter still echoing in the hallway. The patient's brother turned to him, his voice laced with concern and disbelief. "Brother, is it really you, or did they do something to you?"
The patient, still disoriented, replied with a hint of sarcasm, "What do you think?"
The brother's worry deepened as he asked, "Roy, who attacked you?" His eyes searched his brother's face, hoping for some clarity amidst the confusion.
Roy, the patient, shook his head wearily. "I don't know," he said. "But you need to find out who did this." His tone was firm, despite his weakened state, as he looked at his brother with a mix of frustration and urgency.
"Let's go," Roy said, not even glancing at Riya. "And don't forget to pay the bill."
Sanjay nodded and headed to the reception to handle the payment. Meanwhile, Roy sat in the car, his focus absorbed by his phone, his expression serious and distant.
Sneha, trying to lighten the mood, chuckled and said, "Well, he was pretty hot and handsome. I can't believe he tried to approach you like that."
Riya raised an eyebrow, clearly annoyed. "So, you think I started it?"
Sneha laughed and shook her head. "No, no, not at all," she said, trying to reassure her friend.
Riya leaned in and whispered in Sneha's ear, "So, how was his brother?"
Without missing a beat, Sneha replied, "He was hot too. I wish I could get his number." She said it in one breath, clearly excited. Riya looked at her with a mixture of amusement and disbelief, still processing the unexpected conversation.
Sneha's eyes widened as she realized she had blurted everything out without thinking. She looked at Riya with a mix of embarrassment and surprise, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I can't believe I just said all that," she admitted, her voice filled with self-consciousness. Riya watched her with a raised eyebrow, clearly amused by Sneha's reaction.
Oh, now who's got a secret crush at first sight?" Riya teased, a playful glint in her eye.
Sneha couldn't meet her gaze, feeling a bit flustered. "Let's just check on them," she replied quickly, trying to change the subject.
As they arrived at the room, they found it empty. Heading to the reception, they learned that Roy and his brother had already left.
The receptionist handed them a letter, saying, "The patient left this for you."
