After their breakfast together, Roy casually tells Riya, "I'll drop you at the hospital."
Riya, looking slightly surprised, responds, "I don't work at the same hospital now."
Roy raises an eyebrow, curious. "Where then?"
Riya explains, "I've moved to a new hospital," pausing for a moment before adding, " The Malhotra Hospital the one managed by , Ashok."
A frown briefly crosses Roy's face as he recalls the troubling events with Ashok from the previous night. He nods and says, "I'll still drop you off. But if you ever feel uncomfortable there, let me know. I can arrange something better."
Riya smiles softly, appreciating his concern but responds firmly, "Thank you, but I can handle myself. My work is important, no matter where I am."
Roy simply nods and they head out together, both silently understanding that this interaction has brought them closer than either of them expected.
After arriving at the hospital, Riya barely had time to take a breath when Sneha rushed over to her, her face filled with concern.
"Where were you?" Sneha asked, her voice laced with worry.
Riya, a bit startled by Sneha's urgency, tried to offer a reassuring smile. "I... I had some things to take care of. Why, what happened?"
Sneha looked at her, relief mixing with curiosity. "I was so worried when I couldn't find you. I thought something might've happened."
Riya touched her arm gently. "I'm fine, Sneha. I just... needed a moment away. But I'm here now."
Sneha paused for a moment, eyeing her closely, as if trying to sense if there was something more. "You sure? You look a bit... off today."
Riya smiled again, trying to brush it off. "I'm alright. Let's get back to work."
But even as they walked away, Sneha couldn't shake the feeling that something was different about Riya today.
Dr. Sharma approached Riya with a serious expression. "Riya, I need to talk to you," he said, gesturing for her to follow him to his cabin. Once inside, he closed the door and took a deep breath.
"You're truly a professional, Riya," he began, his tone filled with respect. "Your skills, your dedication—it's remarkable. That's why I need your help."
Riya, curious, leaned forward slightly. "What is it, Dr. Sharma?"
He looked her in the eye and said, "I want you to take charge as the head neurologist. It's a big responsibility, but I believe you're the best person for the role. Will you consider it?"
The weight of his words settled on Riya, and she paused, thinking about what this would mean for her career, her life, and the pressure that came with such a role.
Riya hesitated, her voice soft but firm. "I can't, Dr. Sharma. I've been just a doctor until now, focusing on treating patients. And suddenly, you're offering me such a big responsibility... it feels overwhelming."
Dr. Sharma smiled, understanding her concern. "I know it's a lot, but I see great potential in you, Riya. You've proven your capabilities time and again. This isn't just a promotion—it's an opportunity for you to grow, to make an even bigger impact."
Riya looked down, conflicted, unsure if she was ready for such a leap.
Dr. Sharma looked at Riya with a calm but encouraging expression. "Riya, it's always about the brain, whether you're treating a heart, a limb, or a mind. You've already proven that you can handle high-pressure situations. You stabilized that critical patient on your first day here. It's not just about knowledge—it's your instinct, your dedication. That's why I believe you can do this."
